Electric Can Opener and Knife Sharpener, Removable Cutting Lever, Cord Storage, Stainless Steel Blade, Black

My old can opener just wasn't cutting it anymore, so I needed a replacement. I live with a semi-Neanderthal savage, so I wasn't enthused about investing a ton in a can-opener, but still it had to be replaced. I stumbled upon the reviews for this make/model and decided this would be the one. I have to admit, I am very pleased with its performance. After aligning the can and piercing it with the lever, the rest of the operation is auto-magic: it proceeds around the entire can and then automagically stops when the can lid has been completely cut. If you are using a "typical" sized can or smaller, you can walk away and the process is hands-free until you remove the can. However, larger cans (like a 28oz can of diced tomatoes, for example), you will need to support that can or the whole kit-n-caboodle with topple over. The cutting mechanism is easily removed for a quick cleaning and drying, which is ideal to keep things as clean as possible. There is a knife sharpener on the back of the can opener. I was under the impression that it would be an electrically-operated sharpener, but it is not. Rather, it is a manual sharpener that is fixed in place: you have to do all the work. I used one of the Neanderthal savage's knives to test this out, and it provided a rough sharpening that I wouldn't necessarily recommend. There are better sharpening options out there that I would use rather than wreck a good knife. With that said, I bought this as a can opener, not a knife sharpener, so the knife sharpening ability, while it would have been nice if it was of a higher quality, it isn't really a factor in my opinion that this is an overall excellent can opener that I highly recommend.

it works great so far I had an electric one years ago, then went to just using a hand can opener, as my hands got older I went for a little battery powered one that AMAZON offers and it was great until I started opening a can, and all of a sudden, it stopped working and obviously needed new batteries, and I can’t get it off of the can without replacing batteries and guess what I didn’t have any, so I have to go to the store and then that little thing will go into the trash! Got an electric powered can opener and love it!!!

Up date. Junk. I Have bought this can opener Jun , 2024. This worked well when I bought it, now About a year later it’s awful. My friend tried it and it would not Open a regular can either. It makes the noice but would just flatten the rim, over and over again , everytime I tried it, I had to run to the market for a hand opener. This was a 4 star, now a one star. Btw I only used this for caned tomato’s And beans. ———— Years ago I had a electric can open that did last for years , hope this does also. About a year ago From Amazon I bought two of the small battery can openers , those only lasted maybe 6 mos. I’m older now and wanted a can opener I can depend on, and that is easy to Use. I Think this Bella is pretty good. This is lite very weight, not heavy like my Old one. Easy to clean . I ordered black it goes with my stainless , so far this is opening cans easy. Although if you have a tall can to Open, this opener is not tall enough, but lift the opener higher. Sometimes the magnet doesn’t catch the lid !! I paid $17.99 a couple of weeks ago, now this is $13.99,, I’m not happy about that!

This worked okay for a couple months. Always a little difficult to get the cutting started. I got worse so I put it in the trash and ordered a different brand.

Great product! Bought this because I have trigger thumb in my dominant hand and it was becoming very difficult to use manual can-opener. This electric can opener is my first and it is wonderful! At first, it may be a little tricky to align the lip of the can to the opener but once you get the hang of it, it becomes 2nd nature. The lid has non-cutting edges so it is safer to remove. The opener is easy to clean, compact and the cord stores away easily. My only issue with it is that it does not auto-stop when the can is open. Overall, would still recommend! I have never done this before, but I needed to let everyone know that this Electric Can Opener is the best that I've ever owned. Easy to use, good for all sized cans, stays clean, works properly. I have bought pretty much ALL the brand names over the years and they have eventually disappointed me, but this time I went with more or less an unknown brand and believe me....I am NOT sorry I did. So, I came back here.....on purpose.....to let you all know that this is a great product. ....and NO....nobody paid me to say this.

It's great! Having never owned an automatic can opener before I thought something like this was a frivolous purchase. Turns out I've been suffering with manual openers like a pleb for decades. Look at this modern wonder: it holds a can, opens it, then when its done the can just hovers in the air there and the lid is held separately. Then, if I feel like it, I can keep the can held in suspension - thinking about its future - while I sharpen a knife menacingly on the back of the automatic can opener. Such drama! You can have all this for so little! What drama will you unleash on your jars?!

Purchased for my elderly mother. Make opening cans easy for her.

I like the look of this can opener - it matches my other small appliances. It's very compact but does a very efficient job. I had a little trouble getting it to work the first time but I just wasn't putting the can under the cutter on the proper angle. Now it works every time.
