Waye Forward (Publishing) Ltd Holding the Ball: How I Survived Pelvic Organ Prolapse Without Surgery!

Expensive. Might be more relevant to older readers
I've got to admit I was expecting a little more book for my money. The book can easily be read in an hour! This is one lady's battle with POP and there are some important and useful sections e.g. around taboo. Unfortunately, the book wasn't for me, mainly because I am at a very different stage of life (3 young children, two busy careers, runner) to the author. I can only dream of putting my feet up each day for 45 mins and I have no option but to carry my baby and three yr old around! However, it may be useful for older readers or readers without young children. (Or may be I'm just in denial; I don't want to slow down as the book suggests!) My main issue is the price, really extortionate for what you get.

Lots of ideas on how to help prolapse
A lovely little book that has really given me hope. It's a very short book, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it's very concise and to the point. It touches upon a lot of different ways you can help improve symptoms of pelvic floor prolapse without labourer the points too much. It's easy to read....almost like having a friend share her experiences with you.

extremely helpful and reassuring
I love this book! I was diagnosed with prolapse 4 months ago and the doctor said exercise was the way to go but didn't give me any more details. I was in shock and terrified of having to have surgery which seems to have a high failure rate and can make things much worse. This book has been my lifeline for information on what is happening and reassurance that it will get better with the right blend of exercise and relaxation. I read it over and over. Thanks Julia!

Every woman should have a copy of this book as pelvic organ prolapse happens to 1 in 3 women
Bought this book for my wife, here is her review:Every woman should have a copy of this book as pelvic organ prolapse happens to 1 in 3 women. An enlightening read dealing with a topic rarely discussed. The book is an informative and emotional journey of fact finding, learning to listen to your body and using yoga and exercise to heal. Julia tells her story of how she learns to cope and deal with pelvic organ prolapse without surgery. It seems surgery is what is offered on consultation, there is another way and this book tells you exactly how to go about it. The book not only offers help and hope to those who find themselves facing prolapse but also educates women on how to avoid prolapse in the first place. An excellent book which I highly recommend you read.Julie K
