The Emecole Metro Leaking Basement Crack Repair Kit for Homeowners provides an effective, user-friendly and low cost solution for permanently repairing leaking concrete cracks in poured basement wall foundations. With the use of a standard caulk gun, this kit is equipped with the components for up to 20 feet of concrete wall crack repairs, from hairline thin to as wide as 3/16”. Upon injection into the crack, our two-component Emecole Metro 102 Premium Polyurethane expands up to approximately 20 times its initial volume to completely fill voids between the foundation and the soil, resulting in a non-shrink closed cell foam barrier that prevents further water entry. Its flexibility allows it to expand and contract with any foundation movement due to freeze and thaw cycles. Includes step-by-step instructions applicable for first-time concrete crack repair applicators or seasoned veterans. The low pressure injection process for poured foundation crack repair was pioneered by founder Lou Cole dating back to 1987, and quickly became the preferred process by concrete and basement waterproofing contractors. This proven method will permanently repair your leaking basement wall crack problem.

Follow directions completely and good luck.
After I thought I followed the directions thoroughly, evidently you were supposed to wipe down or wash the walls after brushing and before attaching the injection ports because I thought brushing was enough and when I attached the ports and started to inject the urethane, some ports popped off the wall and about half of the rest leaked around the port. When injecting water prior to urethane, I could not get the water to come out of all of the ports (do not know what I did wrong). This was not exactly an easy process and the hose that you attach to the caulk tube mixer needs to be threaded because it kept leaking. Since there are two parts in the caulk tube, you cannot tell whether you are at the end of a tube or not because the caulking gun "pusher" only goes about halfway into the tube before the tube is empty so you can pump the gun all you want, but nothing is coming out of the nozzle. Unlike the videos online, when a port is filled and begins to leak out you have to attempt to move the hose quickly and plug the port that you just finished because the liquid will squirt out until you get the port plug in place. This is a very messy job.

Good prouct
This stuff is good! However it is not a miracle worker. Very briefly here is my experience.I rehab houses and one I was working on had a very common crack in the basement. (The owners had hidden it from me behind plaster) When it started to rain in March and April of this year I found out about it. So I started my research. This product expands on contact with water and fills in the crack. HOWEVER, this product can't work on actively "weeping" cracks. (They may even say that in the product description) In my case I was desperate to try and avoid a $3,000 repair so I gave it try anyway. My first problem was I couldn't get the walls dry enough for all of the ports to adhere. However many did adhere even under these conditions. I had the same problem with the epoxy sticking in-between the ports, again not the products fault. I soldiered on anyway and started pumping the product in. Now get in mind that the epoxy had worked well enough that it was funneling most of the water to just a couple of ports. From those ports the water was coming out like a faucet had not been closed all of the way. I started at the bottom as you are suppose to and the product really worked very well for such poor conditions. However, in the end, the pressure from the outside water was just too much to allow the product to stay in place and expand. Please note that I have given the product 5 stars, the product worked great and I know that when I use it on a crack that is not actually weeping it will work great. Any problems I had were caused by me not using it as it was intended. But if you are like me and want to try it with an actively weeping crack it just won't work so save your money.

Great product & a company that listens
The product worked well sealing two major leaks in my basement. It was an easy fix compared to many products that want you to chisel out the crack before inserting their mixture.. In an earlier review I noted that the cost of the 20 foot kit was the same as two 10 foot kits and there were less items (not material) found in the 20 foot kit. The company responded by explaining the mix-up and gave we a $10 credit. They were certainly easy to work with which also speaks well for the product.

Works well but epoxy is a pain.
The eboxy is a pain to deal with but everything else was easy. Worked well and saved me thousands from a contractor to do the same thing.

Follow the instructions, prepare your surface, take your time, and you’ll get outstanding results.
Filled cracks in poured foundation as advertised. Ration the epoxy. If you use too much, it’ll harden before you can apply it. It has about a five to seven minute work time. A+ product.
