Amazing on trim molding! Adds wow factor.
Nickel silver tone trim in the bathroom. It originally was a dark brown wood. I primed, painted with 2 coats of ‘griege’ latex, and 2 coats of Modern Masters Nickel Silver, coated that in 1-3 coats of water based polyurethane (1 coat on the moldings and 3 coats on the window sill because the cat likes to go up there). The semi gloss poly will make dusting easier. I was skeptical of using this pain at first because it was such a tiny jar of paint, however if you paint an undercoating of a similar color first, a small amount of this goes a very long way! I did all the trim molding in my bathroom with 2 coats of this paint and still have almost half a jar left. It covered 2 door frames, one window frame, and about 6 feet or trim. I’m impressed. The color also matches the nickel silver items such as the sink faucet and shower curtain rod exactly. And to think I almost decided against using it! So glad I did. It got ooohs and ahhhs from some professional painters I know when I posted it on Facebook! Tip: use a brush that’s high quality and brush in one direction. It gives you time to work but then dies quickly. I found it very easy to work with compared to other metallic paints. Update: The polyurethane made it less metallic and more milky-satin but I still like the look of it. I may scuff-sand it and add another coat because I still have enough left, but am still undecided.

Great experience painting a mirror
This nickel color was exactly what I was looking for. I bought a new wood framed mirror, but did not want the farmhouse antique white look (see before picture). I used this paint to class it up. I'm lazy, so I did not prime the mirror before applying this paint and it still worked perfect. Since it's semi-sheer, it took 3-4 coats to get coverage. I used just about the whole 6 oz bottle for this job. I enjoyed how smooth the paint applied with my softer Purdy brush. You can see in the after pictures that the color is dynamic and can change based on the lighting, which I love. In pure daylight it's more silvery and the warm tones come out at varying angles in artificial light. A very successful DIY project in the books. Great product.

Amazing product, easy to use, stunning results!
I wanted to change a few fixtures in my home that I really liked instead of buying all new. My foyer fixture was oil rubbed bronze and I really liked it except for the finish so decided to give this product a try. It went on super easy with a sponge brush. Three coats and only one day later I had a beautiful new looking nickel finished fixture. I highly recommend this product!

It’s not a solid color
It’s opaque which surprised me!

A little goes a long way!
This paint has sheer coverage, is easy to spread, and a little goes a long way, so it is very cost effective. I am painting my kitchen cabinets and opted to paint my existing brass hinges instead of replacing them. In order to match my satin nickel pulls, I am painting the hinges with this paint. It does require more than one coat (I used 3 coats for extra durability), but I am fine with that. It dries fairly quickly, so that is helpful when applying multiple coats. It washes up with soap and water. The change from brass to silver is subtle, but it looks so much better.

Several Coats Needed
You have to apply several layers in order to get good coverage.

Beautiful color for my project!
I tried to include different lighting in the pictures but this color was beautiful for my stenciled wall. I did run out of paint 75% of the way through the project and had to order more. It has such a pretty shimmer and definitely the warmth of satin nickel. It’s sheer so if you want it to be more intense you’ll need a second coat. I wanted it to be sheer so for me it was perfect. Hopefully it stands up to the test of time. It’s fast drying so if you are using a stencil like I was you’d need to move quickly. I used a foam roller which saved me time but did cause me to waste more paint compared to doing it by hand. It has a great consistency and the sheerness makes it buildable.
