Ingenium Fast Wall Charger with 5-Feet Rapid Cable for Smartphones

Hello,First off, I don't write reviews often, and nobody offered me anything for free to write this one. I had to take a few minutes, however, to offer my experience with these chargers. I'm a new owner of the HTC 10 phone, which supports Qualcomm 3.0 fast charging. It wasn't easy to figure out what type of charger I should get for this phone that wasn't purchased directly from HTC, and I'd heard a few horror stories of using a non-HTC charger and phones catching on fire, or not functioning properly.I'm not an expert on this product, but I do understand that it's intelligent enough to avoid over-charging, i.e. it is backwards compatible and will throttle the type of charge it produces according to what happens to be plugged in (if that's the right explanation). So I can charge anything with micro-USB, whether that's a standard charge, 2.0, or 3.0. This seems to be the case. My phone does get pretty hot on the back of it when I charge it, but this is true even with the HTC charger it came with.Advantages to this product - good build, adaptive charging capabilities, plug folds up, and also (and a huge plus I think) comes with a 5' cable vs. the 3' length that are often included with charger purchases - this is great, it actually reaches most areas I need it to this way.The cable itself is only micro-USB, so I did have to get some adapters to support the USB Type-C connection I needed, but these were relatively inexpensive, I found a few 2-packs of these from Spiegen for less than $10 apiece if I remember correctly.Final comment is that I've literally ordered dozens of products from Amazon over the last several years, and I always get an email asking me if there are any issues or for my comments, and usually what seems like at least a month or two after I've ordered or used the product. This is the first time I've actually gotten an email from a seller PRIOR to even being shipped the product, thanking me for the order and letting me to be in touch if I have any issues with shipping, the condition of the product upon arrival, or initial performance and function, etc. - I was impressed with this (sort of how everybody should do it if you ask me).Maybe not the least expensive product, but you get what you pay for, and these chargers are absolute quality.

I have been using this charger for about 3 months now and in the beginning it was working really well, the cord was well made, my phone charger from 15 to 100 in 1 hour and lastly the charger was very durable. But now the charger cord teeth has become loose, the charging takes the same as a regular charger about hour and thirty minutes, and the chrger is making a high pitch squeak sound while charging. Please let me know what to to this was a amazing charger but now it feels like a normal one which is not the reason I sought to buy this. Is there a way I can exchange this product for the same model or revive a new one in its place?

Charges my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge insanely fast. I can probably do a full charge from 1% to 100% in about an hour. Combos well with the 10-foot braided USB charging cable packs also sold on Amazon to charge from afar!

When I did a search for a quick charger for my new LG G5 phone, I saw a highly rated item that specifically mentioned my phone model in the item title. Well, shame on me for being in a hurry and not reading the customer questions, because this item does NOT work with my phone without buying a separate type C adapter. Not expensive, not a problem, but it's not cool that the item title is so misleading, and the item description doesn't immediately clarify.

I initially thought this charger did not work - plugged it in and no charge or blue light on the charger. After fiddling with it a bit, I noticed that it does work. It needs to be slightly pulled out of the socket (1mm or so) and then it works - the blue light comes on and it starts "fast charging" my Samsung Galaxy S7 as advertised. Tried on several outlets with same result, so I know it's the charger. Unfortunately, it's so finicky, I plan to return it. If it worked without having to wiggle it around, it would be a fine charger.

Charger works alright. It charged my phone up pretty fast and I was enjoying going to a 5 foot cable from the 2 foot cable I had but sadly it's already broken. Cable just falls right out of my phone now so I had to switch back to my old charger. Don't know if something wasn't right to begin with but after no more than 8 uses the cable just started slipping out and it made charging impossible. The teeth on the cable are just completely gone after so little use the cable my V10 came with lasted 9 months and I would charge up more than 3 times a day.

The cable that came with it was useless. The end that plugs into my device was too big. I threw the cable out. I use this fast charger with an Anker cable. The two have been working together well. I do not leave the charger or the cable plugged in when not in use.

I was tired of using the slow charger (11 hours plus) that came with my Samsung S5 Active cell phone. After trying out the Ingenium, I threw the original charger in the garbage. Why wait on a charge when this unit will give you a complete charge in a fraction of the time? Ordering this well built, well designed unit is a no brainer. Get one, or several, and never be without a fast charge. It is worth every penny.
