I have probably a level 6-7 ash blonde/brunette (what people called it growing up was dirty water blonde…glad this phrase isn’t used anymore!) For whatever reason it easily becomes brassy from sun exposure & products. I used this 8.11 ash blonde and Pravana’s Zero Lift developer. I used the recommended 1:1.5 ratio of toner to developer, and man, this color is BANGIN’. I’ve used just the toner alone, but if you get the zero lift developer it really sinks in the ash color, which is exactly what I wanted. My hair still feels very soft, doesn’t stink from the chemicals, and my fragile ends aren’t fried. Even my curls are in tact, which is hard to do with curly hair being dyed. Definitely recommend this toner and the zero lift to get rid of brass tones.

This color matches my natural color, so now that I've started to get some gray hairs, I decided to give it a try. I use it with Pravana's No Lift developer, apply it mainly to my roots, and leave it on for 45 minutes. It provides about 80% gray coverage, which is better than I expected. Having some gray shine through makes it look more natural for me, so this dye is like my little secret!

I have searched for YEARS for the perfect ash blonde that would color my naturally brassy undertones. Nothing was what I envisioned. This was a last ditch effort and I am so glad that I bought it. It's given me the perfect ash blonde that covers all brassy.
