I like it alot. Be sure you have new washers in your hose to prevent it from leaking. I added a ball valve (green item) so I can shut it off at the site if I need to readjust it. I never used a pliers to secure the nut. I just hand tightened and it stays at the proper level . The only negative issue is that the company should include that brass fitting (the 1/2 to 3/4" brass adapter) you need to attach this to a garden hose. It really dampens the joy of this arriving just to have to track one of those small items down before you can install it. It wouldn't be hard for them to do in quantity. I think it's pricey for what it is, but everything for chickens is ridiculously priced.

After 5 months of trouble-free use, the waterer will no longer work properly. I took it apart and cleaned it well. Also readjusted the volume nuts -- still does not work. The water begins to fill, then before shutting off, the water begins a "cascade" effect, as if the valve just gives way. Something wrong with the valve function I suspect. I did notice a small bend in one end of the tiny pressure valve - that may be the issue. In my opinion the product is not as durable as they advertise. There is only a 30-day warranty from Miller Mfg (maker of the Little Giant line of pressure waterers), so I suppose they are not that confident in the product's durability either. I plan to reach out to customer service about it, and I will adjust my rating if they work with me on it.

Internal part broke which kept the water flow from shutting off about 6 months after purchasing . Had to throw away.

We had to go overseas and needed something reliable for our chickens. Liked that this was not a nipple type waterer and seemed easy to install. It is amazing! We have had no problems with it in the two months we've had it and I don't have to worry about the chickens' water running out.

This drinker is very high quality and is exactly what I was looking for. I used some scrap PVC pipes to make a down-tube and gave me a good location to connect a garden hose. The end result is a very functional and low-maintenance way to ensure that my birds never run out of water. It is important to understand the adjustment screws and how they work. Carefully read the directions that are on the back of the package.As an added bonus, the dish is easy to remove with the water still connected and under pressure. This allows you to clean the dish without having to turn off the water pressure. Just put the dish back on and give it about a quarter turn, and the water supply fills it back up.

We have had ours installed now for about a year. We have LOVED it! Constant flow of clean water for our hens. It rarely gets dirty and is so simple to clean. Have been raising chickens for years and this is the best water set up we have found this far. I highly recommend.
