Why the bad reviews?
The media could not be loaded. I dont know what the bad reviews are about?I took video of this product because I had no problems with it.I didnt need instructions to figure it out - and it works really well. No glare- props up easily- magnifies very well. Its just feels a little cheaply made and the battery door is hard to open and shut. This really is a decent product.

Waste basket filler
I usually try to give something good about a product, but in this case, no. Absolute junk. Very flimsy, legs collapse when using it, can't get anything done with it standing unless you have th4 hands of a 5 year old, and the neck strap is a joke, a piece of string attached at opposite ends. The light is weak, when it's on, it shoots streaks of light into the magnifier, difficult to read by, and the switch broke after turning it on three times. Incredible that this is still sold on Amazon.

Poor quality
My mom is 85 and she wanted to be able to put it over her recipe book by standing it up and one set of legs will not stay up and keep folding so it falls. It was not what we expected quality wise

Price fluctuates, ad accurate
Rating: Hands Free Magnifying Glass With Light & Neck Cord LED Illuminated Magnifier For Reading Sewing Cra...Ad accurate. Product arrived as promised, works well. Good light. Square hangs better than the round ones, when forced to hang it around your neck (e.g. sewing in lap). The string will need to be replaced, maybe soon. The plastic legs are somewhat weak, and sharp on the bottom so cannot be rested on your lap (e.g. with sewing under it). Nothing that locks them in place really. Good lighting. But that I just purchased this last week, and in hand two days ago, but the price is now lower by $3 is a bit of an ewww. Not impressed with prices that fluctuate that fast up and down, making me wonder about all my Amazon purchases now before I hit that Order button. Ten items x $3 cheaper tomorrow per item makes one wonder if they should be clicky clicky so fast to buy. On everything.

Not worth your time
Absolutely not worth even a nickel. You have to be right over the top of it to be able to see what you are magnifying and the lights that are supposed to light up what's underneath give a glare on the magnifying glass so it just starts what you're seeing. Also if you have a light on above you, which is necessary it puts eye glare on the magnifying glass from above because it's not actually glass it's all plastic. Very flimsy plastic in reality.

Get a CLOSER LOOK
At 85 years old I find it difficult to focus on small print, on delicate projects (like threading a needle). With this light-weight generously-sized magnifying gizmo I can do MUCH more, and FASTER chores, and read much smaller print without squinting.I am delighted with it!!
