Pylex11050 Simple Gate Kit, 2,5" X 11" X 11", Black

Product design is good. Quality control is not. I purchased two of these. One of them was perfect. The other had a broken weld in one of the angle brackets. I ordered a replacement and it had two angle brackets with broken welds. I was able to make a complete kit using parts from both kits.

Did the job my gate works great.

The product came on time, very sturdy, works great, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Easy to install. Works well. Made my gate sturdy.

NOTHING IS SQUARE , IF YOU WANT A CROCKET FENCE BUY IT . NO QUALITY CONTROL MADE IN CHINA ....

Modestly good hardware for what you pay. Does what it is designed to do, not sure how well it will hold up over time.

I bought two of these for a front and back gate. One was great. It went together quickly an easily and the result was top notch. Sturdy square and fine. It came with a bit for my drill for the star type screws and a drill bit for making a hole before inserting the crew. The other package did not have the bits and had Phillips screws. To my complete and total frustration the Philips screws were worse than useless, totally soft and stripped out with very little force. I ended up not using them and replacing them with my own screws after the third of five screws stripped on me. I'm not sure why one set was great and the other awful. I do recommend getting this product but if it arrives without the bits and with Phillips screws just return it right away or plan on using your own screws. If you get the nice star screws you're set.

Not really sure what happened with my kit, was likely opened and returned. The zip ties used to hold the metal frames together were cut in the box.Anyhow, couldn't return because I needed urgently.As other reviewers have stated, the corners with the hinge piece are bent. Easy enough to manipulate, however.One thing that was a real laugh was the fact that the holes on the inner pieces lined up with the holes on the outer pieces. I think for the majority of people this would be a flaw. Decking screws put straight into 2x4s could hit one another.Possibly this was a design feature, since you could drill a hole through the 2x4 and use bolts. But I doubt this since the kit came with some black screws.Anyhow, in summary - just okay, gets the job done. Needs some work to flex metal. Not sure why my package was opened previously.Would probably spend the extra 25 bucks and buy a real sturdy set from home depot or lowes next time... and ensure im not getting an open box!Lol.

Pretty happy with these. I was redoing my gate because the design I originally made sucked. Brackets made the design very obvious and it is pretty clear that my new gate is way stronger and should resist warping. If you look at the hardware stores, the reviews are virtually the same. Things aren't perfectly square and you might have to bang it out or just accept the imperfection.

Pretty decent gate kit for money. Built it with 2x4’s and planked with 1x6x6ft. Pretty heavy decent gate kit. Hardware seemed to be pretty good despite other reviews on it. Had to bend a few pieces to make square but overall pretty good. Tried two different kinds of gate kits and this one was just as good as another one from Home Depot. I added heavy duty wheels to Eleminate future gate sag. So far is holding up. Took me roughly 20 mins per gate to build and hang. Planked it in place once secured to posts.

The braces are not completely square and some effort will be needed to make a totally square gate. Also, the bolts that come with it are inadequate. It came with 2 1/2 inch deck screws which are terrible for a gate structure. Had to go to home depot to get better screws for this.
