peeling paint
It is a good coffee press, but for what I paid I expected it to be better quality. I was not happy about the blue color, it’s like a cheap compact car blue, you know the color you can see it in a parking lot a block away, but I decided to keep it. I had only used it 5 times before the paint started coming off in chunks to late to return it. I received it in February 2020 and this is May 2020. I bought it off a YouTuber recommendation so I went back and looked at her French press and it is a lighter blue that totally looks like it was brushed painted, hers is not the electric blue she recommends. I will be sanding mine and painting it a kinder gentler blue.

Amazing french press with much thicker glass than competition
Used to always use the competitor brand, but with each year, the glass kept getting thinner and thinner. When my most recent french press cracked, I decided to give this brand a shot and I'm pleasantly surprised. The glass is much thicker than competition, reminds me of the French presses I used to buy years ago before companies started to cut corners.

Good but not great
Good but not as great as its predecessor. The whole thing is slightly smaller. It’s now made in Taiwan. Used to be made in China. It’s still a pretty good product but the purple coloring is starting to come off and I only hand wash this. Will probably try a different brand next time.

Great Coffee!
First one arrived damaged, Amazon immediately sent a new one while waiting for damaged one to return. We are very pleased with this French press. It makes enough for my hubby and I to have 2 (not quite full) cups of coffee. It's easy to use and clean. It seems pretty solid, love the all the stainless steel and looks super sleek and modern on our counter top.In case you are wondering: yes, there is plastic underneath the stainless lid. I was trying to find one without any plastic at all (next to impossible) and I couldn't tell from the pictures or feedback if it had any plastic. Well, at least now I can let other viewers know it does. Although it does have a neat little steal filter the coffee touches before it's poured, which is also stainless. This will get rid of any extra coffee grounds.

Better Than A Bodum?
Coffee making is one of our passions. We make espresso; brew French press and vacuum; roast our own coffee; and have two, "big deal" grinders respectively dedicated to espresso and brew. Counting the BonJour Linear we have eight different French presses.I bought the Linear to please me wife who, seeing it in a British television show, remarked that she thought it was attractive, and without any expectation that it would make better than any of our other presses. The Linear is an attractive, and well made press. The base, which holds the glass carafe is metal (apparently stainless steel), while the top seems to be chromed plastic. In every way except two, it's similar to several Bodum presses -- for instance the Bodum Eileen. Those two are a piece of mesh at the pouring spout for a final filtration of coffee "fines," and a "flavor lock" plate which allows the user to close off the press filter from the pressed coffee after the plunger is depressed and stop further extraction. The tolerances aren't tight enough for either thing to work completely, but they do work somewhat; and to my surprise the Linear is enough different from a Bodum to make just enough of an improvement to be noticeable. But if you want a pot which makes a significantly cleaner cup while preserving the intensity of press, you'll have to invest in an Espro. We like our Linear quite a bit and will use it often, but it's not enough better than our other presses to knock them out of the rotation.Bottom Line: Worth it, slightly better, but don't expect miracles. If you're not in love with the Linear's looks, it's not enough better to buy.

We are coffee experts and we LOVE this french press!
OK, we LOVE this french press. It's sturdy, with all metal parts (except the inside of the large top, which keeps heat in), including the long nut that holds the screen on its shaft, which in some coffee presses is plastic and has failed on me, leading to disastrous spills and insecurity when pressing the screen down. Not only is the assembly strong, it also presses down easily, the fine screen keeping coffee grounds out. I really don't know why other presses can be so difficult to push down, but I have done nothing different with this one, which works like a dream -- despite the fact that I grind my beans quite fine, more than instructed, in order to get every last drop of flavor out of them.We loved this press so much that my fiancee and I bought a second one as back up. I am a heat freak, requiring my coffee to start and stay very, very hot. This press has an extension of the plastic lining of the top that you can swivel to prevent heat loss through the spout area. The pot is easy to clean and the carafe does not slip out of its metal casing when unknowing friends try to make coffee on camping trips and pitch the carafe out with the grounds, shattering it on the rocks. That would not happen with this press!

Nice product, just a bit heavier than one would expect
The first time I received it, the glass was broken, but after a short online chat, Amazon sent me another one and this time it was even quicker.I am pretty happy with this purchase in particular the sliding disk that helps keep coffee in the press for a while. The only drawback is it quite heavy metal lead. Except for that all is good.

Happy with my copper french press!
Pretty awesome french press - I had a cheaper one that wasn't as well-constructed, this one is a tighter fit all all around and the plunger doesn't let through laods of coffee grounds (like my old model did). Loved the colour, too. Only thought is that perhaps the finish won't last forever, but we'll see!

Glass shattered after a dozen uses
Well this french press was great while it lasted. I used it about a dozen times, and it broke. I washed it with warm water and soap and left it to air dry on the dish rack and it randomly shattered. I heard the cracking sound of glass and it was destroyed. I checked to see if any of my other dishes were warm to touch in the drying rack... nope. Needless to say I am not happy with the quality of the glass. The design is appealing, but it's not made to last.

Great Product!
Absolutely perfect! I ordered the blue version and haven't had an issue at all with peeling or colour wearing off so far. Makes about 2 1/2 mugs full (in my opinion, but maybe my mugs are large)

Very Happy!
Very happy. Does cut down significantly on sediment in bottom of cup.
