SAMSUNG LC24F390FHNXZA 24-inch Curved LED FHD 1080p Gaming Monitor (Super Slim Design), 60Hz Refresh Rate w/AMD FreeSync Game Mode

I purchased this monitor for my son who already had one of the exact same model (over a year now) and mentioned he was planning to get a second. So I got him this one for Xmas. He now has three monitors with the two Samsung's side by side. I have to admit the picture is awesome. Super clear and bright. He uses it mainly for gaming but also works from home on occasion and uses it for that as well. For the price it's an excellent monitor and better than some I have seen costing considerably more. My only dings on this monitor is the use of a custom power cable versus the standard computer cord. Not sure why Samsung chose to got that route. There are not a lot of connection options either with only VGA and HDMI. No DVI or Display port connections, but that is becoming the norm now days and it is a slightly older model - but not that old. Just something to be aware of if you are looking at this model. It's really a matter of preference when it comes to monitors and TVs, but I have always liked the picture quality of Samsung LCDs in any size. This one is no exception and I can recommend it with confidence.

Pre-ordered this at the urging of a friend; having just built a new PC, I needed a good monitor for editing and light gaming. So far I've had it less than 12 hours so these are first impressions only. Packaging was excellent, being well supported by foam in the box. It comes with its own HDMI cable. I put it together using no instructions, everything was intuitive and easy without the use of tools. The base and frame are a beautiful mirror finish and don't attract fingerprints as easy as one would think. The neck is a bit wobbly which is why I'm giving four stars, and it isn't adjustable which would have been nice. Set up was very easy: plug in HDMI, plug in power, turn on computer, wait for the display to come on automatically and find the correct input. Adjusting the settings is done by the d-pad on the back right of the monitor and is very intuitive. They have some presets you can scroll through to get a feel of the different modes. You can tell there was some thought put into the design by Samsung. It's easy to get immersed looking at the curved display as it wraps around your peripheral vision. Color is excellent and screen is bright. Overall I am very happy so far with this purchase. 3 month update: Still looks great! No issues, LOVE the screen. It looks beautiful and has very accurate color reproduction for the photos and videos I edit. Upgrading to 5 stars now for this.

Awesome monitor! Just what I needed for my PC. Colors are great, I love the curved screen, and for the price this was absolutely a steal. Relatively easy to hook up and works great.

The curved monitor overall is very good and sexy looking. Very good for its price cannot ask for more. I will list out all the pros and cons of this monitor. Hope it will be helpful for you guys to decide whether to buy it or not. Pros: : Well design, good pixels, overall good response time( I only play light gaming not heavy ones). : The power plug has a safe function, makes it harder to unplug by accident. : Nice HDMI cord included. : Good size for a curved monitor, good for watching movies and TV shows on it. : Very thin, you can see in my picture (back LED lights not included) Cons: : The most annoying thing to me is the adjusting angle to the monitor, it either very hard or non-adjustable. : As a result, I have to put a small box under the monitor to increase its height since the height is not adjustable : There are no built-in speakers. : The on/off button is located in the back of the monitor, sometimes hard to reach : The on/off button light is reversed, it lights up when the monitor is off and lights off when the monitor is on. Weird. : The on/off button is like a joystick it has many functions, however, it is sometimes hard to use I prefer the mult-buttons. *I don't hate on the on/off button, but the design just didn't work well for me :P

Will try to edit later. This is a good monitor, had previously bought one a few years back at Best Buy for my Dad. My old Viewsonic just bought the dust so, I was looking for a new monitor & after trying to find one that fits my criteria - I ended up choosing this model. I am currently unable to review this particular monitor I just received, as it does NOT come with a VGA cable, which I know is antiquated - but, I am still using a VGA style KVM switch & need to get a new HDMI style. I will try to edit OR add on later once I am able to determine how well this one from Amazon performs.. ===================================================== UPDATE (6-28-21) it has been a while & forgot to update - I love this monitor --- the only thing that bugs me & I may not have noticed on my older monitor to see if, it happened there also ---- is that you will notice some shimmer around text & icons. Other than the aforementioned, the colors, the brightness, etc are all great - BUT, have noticed at least with these monitors of the shimmer or vibration around text & icons - you will NOT notice on larger items on screen. I have never noticed this before on any monitor until this one - it may be common to all monitors OR just this one - I have not been on any other monitor yet since to compare. In any case it does NOT bother me, just something I noticed. I would buy this again !!

This monitor has been an outstanding addition to my work and entertainment space. Really nice monitors, especially for the price. I am now a work from home employee and wanted to have some decent monitors to work with. I purchased two and then mounted them on an elevated stand. I really like them. As with most monitors, I had to turn the backlight down (it's super bright to start), and the little shuttle based menu thing in the back takes a bit of getting used to, but outside of that, they are nice monitors. They mounted to a mounting arm without having to use any spacers, etc...the plate fit right on the back just like a non-curved monitor. One thing to note - for these monitors, they put the power suppy external to the monitor....the power supply is in the plug, so there is a sizable plug (like an oversized wall wart plug) that is used for each monitor, so take that into account when allocating power outlet space. They can eat up some outlet space on a standard type power strip (unless you get one that flips the plugs 90 degrees). However, it helps with weight and makes the monitors that much lighter because the power conversion equipment is external to the monitor. But, I believe it's proprietary, so if the external power supply goes south, then finding a replacement may be a challenge. Have VGA & HDMI inputs (I am using HDMI). Haven't used for gaming, but they seem fast scan rate. I cannot seem to get them to go to 75 Hertz (may be due to my Mac). They calibrated without issue with a Spyer.

This monitor is amazing. Prior reviews say that a curved one should be no less than 27inches for gamers may be true but this 24 inch (23.5) is a must have for any personal computing. I bought this to replace my HP 2311X I got in 2011 which was working just fine and I gave to my daughter. One thing I noticed is that it "appears" to be not as wide screen but it is. The curve puts everything in focus so you are not having to look around to see everything. It is very bright and yes it does adjust 2 degrees down and 20 degrees up. I sit about 36 to 43 inches from the screen. For regular computing I have the top of the screen at eye level. For movies and games I set the eye level about 2/3 to 3/4 of the screen. I use the HDMI connection but this also has an RGB interface plug which I am not sure why anyone would use anymore. My video card is an EVGA GTX 650 TI SSC 2GB which required the mini HDMI to HDMI cable. The curve is just right, 1800R for a monitor which means you would have to sit about 70 inches to flatten out your view. Clarity is great and the toggle control is very easy to use. Installation was a snap as it only involve switching power cables and HDMI. I am presently replaying Rise Of The Tomb Raider in a whole new view. Also looking back on what I paid for my HP 2311X, this monitor was the same price as what I paid back in 2011 for the HP. Try it and you will like it.

I have purchased it on the name of samsung but it maybe a 1st copy, because it has stopped working before 6 months, Really bad experience I am having with this product. I do not recommend to buy it.

De forma geral, senti falta apenas de ajustes. A base é travada, com isso você não consegue regular nada. Fica na posição de fábrica e só. Isso não desabona em nada, se for avaliar custo x benefício, ele entrega bem mais do que precisava para uma segunda tela.

Purchased this monitor during Prime Day 2019. Beautiful monitor and great picture quality. Everything you want in a monitor and the curved screen is pretty cool. Not really sure I needed a curved screen, but for the price, I couldn't pass it up. I like it all. I see some people don't like the one button for everything on the back of the monitor, but I haven't had any problems with it. You either press it in and then up, or sideways....it's not that hard. Seems to work fine for me. Just something you have to get used to, but it's not like you need to use the button every day! The only thing I don't like is the monitor stand. You can't adjust it up and down and you can't make the screen angle. That would have been nice, but not a deal breaker. Glad I bought it. No regrets.

Monitor perfeito, o tamanho é ótimo a imagem nitida. Atendeu minhas expectativas pela qualidade e custo benefício. Recomendo.

Excelente monitor, me incline por este ante otros monitores de la misma gama por la funcionalidad de sincronizar la tarjeta gráfica de tu PC con el monitor automáticamente. Viene con HDMI incluido. Se arma de manera fácil en un minuto. Tiene detalles muy elegantes. Es curvo por lo cual facilia la visión. Entrada para vga o hdmi. Tiene opciones para cuando apagas la PC el monitor entre en modo reposo. Muy completo la verdad. Ya tengo.6 meses con el aprox y sigo fascinado.
