Excellent engineering, design, and manufacturing made a carafe that is pleasing in all ways. My most important attribute is thermal performance and this carafe is more effective than any I have tried before. The top screws on with one turn and has a stop to align the serving lever with the handle. An O-ring on the top makes a tight seal and pouring is gentle and drip-free. The handle supports easy one-handed operation with good balance. The vacuum flask opening is about 1.5 inches wide and the top flange is flat, so my decades-old Melita brewing cone fits well. The thermal performance is much better than the stainless-steel flask I tried as a replacement for my old vacuum carafe. The chrome finish has no flaws and I expect the brass construction to give many, many years of durability.

The dispenser does not work on this beautiful coffee carafe. You must remove the lid to pour liquid. If you push the dispenser, it separates from the rest of the dispenser....totally unacceptable. I'm returning this and will keep looking for a carafe.

The cap pops off super easily in what would be normal use; the manufacture says in the manual that the silver will tarnish, simply not worth the upkeep; good luck cleaning it if any sediments begin to pile up, which can only possible be avoided if you use one-hundred percent pure drinking water. I got this used (very good condition) and I see why the person returned it. I would not spend a hundred and ten dollars on this, let alone fifty or thirty.

This is by far my favorite thermal carafe. Love the elegant and simple design. I feel soothing just by looking at it. The lid design makes it very easy to use. It won't leak any water when pouring unlike my previous cheap carafe. I will keep buying this brand in bigger size. The product comes in good packaging and is handled well during shipping.
