Oil-based dressings like Chemical Guys Tire and Trim Gel are best used on the exterior of your car only. Use a premium water based dressing for versatile use both inside and outside your vehicle!

Q: Is this an oil or water based trim gel?

It is oil based, it has a thick feel to it unlike the water based stuff.

Q: Does this work on the door pillars (B pillars)? Mine are starting to turn gray.

It can be used on any car trim as well as tires. I use this tire gel for all of the trim-Exterior, and interior. Definitely turns grey trim to a rich black. Dries to touch. Just make sure you apply it with their sponge applicators. Great product.

Q: Is this better than vrp?

VRP makes rubber and plastic appear refreshed and new. Tire & Trim Gel will give those plastic and rubber surfaces a dark wet look. BOTH are excellent products! I personally use VRP on my door, hood and trunk weather seals, keeping them looking just like they did when the car was new. I use Tire &Trim Gel for exterior plastic trim, and on my tires to give them that black glow I love to see.
