Ideal protector for hard floors and chair legs
These floor protectors are an excellent product intended for use on hard floors. They are easy to fit provided care is taken in the fitting of the black plastic cup. Several reviewers had complained (on Amazon.com) about the heads snapping off the screws but providing the fitting instructions are followed this should not happen. Instructions say it is essential to pre-drill the screw hole 3mm dia to a depth of 3/4" inch (20mm) and screw down the black plastic cup till it just starts to compress. I left the self adhesive pads on as it made drilling the holes easier with the cups in situ. As I had hardwood chair legs I chose to drill the holes 3.2mm dia which adequately gripped the screw without the risk of snapping the head off. The grey plastic slider is then just pushed into the cup with thumb pressure (double click). Gives a more durable and secure fixing than the nail in type, and the chairs slide easily without leaving marks on my tiled floor. It also prevents wear and splintering to the bottom of the chair legs.

The stick on option is nice to have
The stick on option is nice to have, however i would recommend those who are buying this for the stick on option to think carefully before you buy this. i say that because i stuck these on my dining chairs, and i'm not sure if it's because of the angle of the chair legs but they will start to shift and eventually to a point where it's way off from the center of the leg where i stuck them on and they'll slip out. it could be because the chair legs do not run straight vertically, they are on a slight angle therefore when i sit on my chairs it applies pressure on the pads on a slight angle as well forcing them to shift. anyway, good option in my case if i screwed them on instead.

Nice desing but fails to fulfill expectations
I’ll admit it has a nice desing, (gray cap snapping on to cover the screw. )(In my case, I bought 2 packs to replace the pads on my hardwood chairs and table)The screws were very cheap and had to go buy real hardwood screws. Also, if you put a bit of weight on ghe chair (I.E: sit on it), it’ll mark your floor. In the end, I removed them after a week... (btw, was harder to remove because of the cheap screws, Had to remove them with vicegrip plyers)

These were a complete waste of money
These were a complete waste of money. We tried to go a different route than the felt pads because they fall off our kitchen chairs so often. We just had installed new vinyl plank flooring and wanted to protect it. The grey plastic caps on these scuff and scratch SUPER easy, leaving hard plastic bits to scratch your flooring. Our floor below the table/chairs is SO ruined from these. I would not buy them again ever or recommend them.
