Great for our dachshund!
We bought this for our dachshund that has a bad habit of jumping off our king size bed all the time. We're trying to avoid expensive back surgery in the future so we bought this. I wasn't super happy with the price considering what it was for and its function but it's worked out very well for us. It's very sturdy despite being made of foam. It took a little training to get her to use it herself because she's not the smartest animal alive but she eventually got it. Now she's going up and down it like a champ with the occasional jumping off the top of the bed every now and then. I think by now she's figured out the only way up is to use the stairs properly so she's with the program for that, at least. Couldn't recommend this enough to help prevent back surgery for those long spine pups.

Very glad I did
We bought this for our dashchunds to use to get on our bed. I researched Ramos and stairs and being that I have a high bed went with this set of stairs. Very glad I did! They are tall enough for my high bed, are great quality and the cover is easy to remove for washing. We haven't had to wash ours yet, however. We weren't sure if our dogs would use it. It they do all day every day! They even look lost if it has gotten moved away from the side of the bed! I was afraid a ramp would stick out too far and would hurt if I stumped my toe or leg on it in the night. Very happy with his product and would reccomend if you have small dogs!

Think twice, and then think again before you purchase this stairs
I give it one star because the dimensions were correctly stated; however, that's it. The foam is low grade soft foam that does not support any weight with any degree of stability. My dogs each weigh less than 20 lbs and they compressed the foam steps as they climbed - so much so they refused to use it because it was so unstable under them. Cannot imagine how a large dog would manage. Also, while the faux sheepskin cover is a nice look and is heavier than other such covers I've seen, it was "balling" and "fluffing" after only one use by my dogs. Also, it did not cover the entire stairs, so the base is simply the exposed foam, with no grips of any kind to even attempt to hold it in place, particularly on wooden floors. Finally, the seller does not cover the cost of returns like most Amazon vendors and the cost of returning this is almost as much as the product (i.e., in the $100 range because the box is so large) - so unless you know 200% that it will work for you, it is not worth trying.

Fully carpeted safety
These steps have worked well for our two Bichons. The last steps we had were plastic with carpeted steps. One of our girls hit the edge of the step that was plastic and fell. She wound up having disc surgery. Steps recovered now and these steps are great because they're totally covered. No plastic anywhere. They stick out into the room a little further but are so much safer we don't mind.

my 14 yr old ratt terrier needed these
I have never paid this much for steps, but hoping they will last a long time. My oldest dog Forest is 14 years old and he needs them or I probably would not have bought them, since they are so pricey. He wouldnt use them so i had to return. Update: The company expected me to pay for return shipping which was very pricey, so I ended up keeping it and all three dogs use it now. It has turned out to be a very good set of steps and my senior dog finally got to where he could use them.

A little pricey, but worth it!
These pet stairs are a little pricey, however, they are the perfect size for my dachshund's short legs. These pet stairs are 1 piece of lightweight foam with a removable, washable cover. They are the perfect height for my tall bed. I like that these stairs are soft and supportive, and there are no plastic pieces that my dog may trip on. Also, if I run into them in the middle of the night, the soft foam doesn't stub my toe!My doxies started using these stairs immediately with very little coaxing involved. I am very thankful for these stairs, since my dog who had recent back surgery is now using the stairs instead of jumping off my bed! I would definitely recommend these pet stairs.

My pugs love this stairway!
I did a lot of research before selecting this particular pet stairway. I found that the cheaper stairs are not as tall as this one, and they do not have removable, washable covers. This one is just the right height to get the dogs to the top of the bed, with the bed itself in the position of sort of the top stair. We showed it to our two pugs, and manually helped them walk up and down it a few times, then they took it from there. Now they tear up and down these stairs all the time, and sometimes it appears they do it just for the fun of it! Even our German Shepherd mix, who is large, and certainly doesn't need stairs to get on the bed, sort of leaps up the stairs sometimes, rather than just jumping straight up. I haven't washed it yet, but I have wiped the stairs with a wet, soapy cloth to remove muddy paw marks, and it looks like new. Don't settle for one of the cheaper models!

No room for average small dog to balance to go back down stairs
Unless u have a teacup "small dog" (as was stated it would fit), there is not near enough room for a dog to balance their weight on to go down the stairs. Now sitting in my storage room.
