I have been using this daily since Nov 2020. It does the job. Very easy to set up and the hot keys work well. Overall, I’m really happy with it for the money I paid.Only quirks are:1: my Microsoft wireless mouse/ ergo keyboard set worked fine with my work laptop but when I switched to my personal desktop, the mouse wouldn’t function. The set worked fine when plugged directly into the system. I just ended up swapping the mouse and keyboard and solved that problem.2: When switching back to my Dell laptop (connected through a Dell USB-C dock) my monitors will occasionally blink, some times it stops after a few seconds, sometimes it last minutes.

A mi me funciona perfecto. Tengo conectada mi lap del trabajo y mi lap personal. Puedo cambiar entre ellas de forma muy rápida y práctica.Al presionar Ctrl + Ctrl + 1 ó 2 la imagen en el minitor tarda 4 segundos en cambiar de una laptop a otra. A mi se me hace un tiempo muy aceptable ya que jamás he tenido la urgencia de cambiar de una lap a otra de forma express. Puedo esperar dichos segundos sin problema.La única queja que podría tener sería que los leda no se ven muy bien en su posición actual. Tal vez seria mejor que estuvieran en frente. Pero esto es un detalle minimo pues uno sabe todo el tiempo, por la imagen proyectada en el monitor, en que lap estás trabajando.Personalmente no entiendo las quejas en otros reviews. Casi estuve a punto de no comprarlo. Que bueno que no les hice caso.Recomiendo este conmutador ampliamente.

I have a Samsung 49-Inch monitor (resolution: 5120 x 1440p), which I use for my personal desktop most of the time. During work hours, I use PBP (Picture-by-Picture) to give half my screen to my work laptop and the other half to my personal desktop. I’ve been using a USB switch in the past that would let me use the keyboard and mouse on one computer or the other. The problem is it took a second or two to switch/redetect, and sometimes it would bluescreen my laptop. I believe the bluescreen was because the switch box was doing a full disconnect and reconnect each time I switch, which causes issues while reconnecting.This new KM emulates the keyboard and mouse on the non-active PC so that when changing, it is instantaneous, and the new PC doesn’t even know it was gone. So using the hotkeys to switch is smooth. Many KVM’s have the emulation; however, I have never seen a hardware KM (no software required) have the option to auto-switch when you get to the end of your screen. It is truly amazing to move from my personal desktop to my work laptop as if they were the same computer. The KM also can be active on all the screens at the same time. Everything fine. Except one tiny-little thing. It cuts off monitor at all, does not left any standby voltage/resistor, so inactive device detects monitor were plug off, and try to init another connected display. It is bit annoying to reinit resolution each time.

Using this KVM with 2 HDMI monitors and a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse.My only complaint was that it was kind of slow to switch everything,... keyboard and mouse would lag several seconds behind the HDMI screens. Also, occasionally the keyboard and mouse would drop and not work at all. Switch KVM back and forth between computers to correct it.The solution appears to be with the Windows settings for energy conservation. Windows is shutting off the USB devices to save power. Turn that setting off. In Computer Management, open up Device Manager and find the "USB Root Hub" devices. Right click > properties and go to the "Power Management" tab. Uncheck the box for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." I also reviewed this setting on the keyboards and mouse in the device manager and unchecked if it was there.Works great now. Very fast switching. Dropping of keyboard and mouse has not happened since.
