Hard to take own bp with cuff
It is difficult to wrap the cuff arounds one’s arm oneself. I think it is the inflexible material of the cuff unlike the fabric-like material of the past and there is no D ring to keep it in place. I am replacing my 45 year old Welch Allyn Tycos sphygmomanometer from med school which finally died in order to take my own bp. I believe it is accurate and I bought it because the fancy Omron digital cuff I recently purchased is really giving me readings all over the place including some very low readings that I’m not sure are true. It’s not returnable so I am stuck with contorting myself to wrap the cuff around my arm. It was easy to figure out the trigger attachment of the gauge.

Excellent equipment, with a flaw
The design of the blood pressure cuff is poor. The velcro ends up on the back of the patients arm if the tubing to the gage is aligned along the brachial artery. I had to replace the cuff with a different one. This is not a problem, as the tubing is easy enough to remove. The gauge is superior for one hand utilization.I use the equipment multiple times a day as a Home Health Care RN.

A gem if it lasts half as long as the instrument it replaces.
It's hard to say for sure because I've only had it for a month or so, but I purchased it as a replacement for a very similar one that I'd had since medical school. It appears to be an updated version of the original, which finally needed to be replaced after forty years usage. If the new one lasts half as long as the original one I'll be more than satisfied.

Love the single hand use
I use this 5+ times a day at work. Love the single hand use. Accurate and durable. Velcro type material is lasting very well after about two years.Holds up to sanitary cleaning wipes after each use; some strong chemicals and alcohol wipes as well.

Have never been disappointed with it
I have been in medical practice for over forty years and have used nothing but Tycos equipment. Have never been disappointed with it. When I have had it standardized, it has always been accurate. The best as far as I am concerned.

Not a professional grade
Poor value with cuff not holding air and Velcro closure going bad within 2 weeks.
