Beginners fun
It was easy to set up and start burning right out of the box. Beginners will easily have no trouble get my the hang of adjusting the temperature for different shades or grades of wood and plastic.

This was a gift for my granddaughter as she is very crafty. Used it with her and I’m a little bit jealous I have to say. I want one and will probably order one in the near future.

I remembered my childhood when I burned out in labor lessons. It is very cool that this is now available on the free sale. A very useful thing in the long run when it’s tedious to fix something.

Minor temperature issues, but will get the job done.
Works well in general for soldering, wood burning, and working with PLA plastics. The temperature on the reported on the box was quite a bit higher than the actual temperature at the tip of the device. If you're looking for a specific temperature, such as melting point of PLA, there will be some trial involved if you don't have a way to double check the temperature at the end of the tool. The stand it comes with to use while it's heating up, or hot and not in use will need to be attached to a work surface, or scrap piece of plywood before it will be useful.

1st one lasted about 3 hours. Replacement lasted a day. Both died when replacing tips. Worked well when it worked. Died when changing tips. Worked well when it worked.
