You have to have faith ...
The box arrived so damaged and with parts rattling inside that I was sure we would be returning this - we didn't. When we assembled it, it was so wobbly and at least one shelf looked so skewed that again I was sure we would be returning it - we didn't. If you put it together properly and reserve judgement, you'll find that when that last top shelf is secured, the whole thing straightens up and becomes a very sturdy unit. There was one small bent area that was easily fixed with a rubber mallet (which is also very helpful for securing the shelves evenly). We (two people make it much easier to hold the shelves for assembly) put the bottom shelf at the absolute bottom, the next one 12" higher, and the top one only 1" from the top. This leaves 50" from the rod to the 2nd shelf - enough to hang a 30" coat and still have a useable shelf underneath. My only complaint is they used standard wheel locks on a smaller wheel which means the relatively sharp metal comes in contact with deeply padded carpet. We have a larger unit from a name brand with larger wheels which I am going to swap to solve that small issue. We are also using this one's handy hooks on that unit because we don't have room for them where this one is going. That's another nice feature - they are the same diameter, so you can interchange parts. Bottom line, it's a good unit and perfectly fit in a back area of our closet that has to remain easily accessible for the accesses to the attic above and crawlspace below.

A stable unit that makes a welcome closet
I’m temporarily living with my daughter as she addresses health issues. The room available to me did not have a closet. I was a little concerned that this item would be too flimsy for my use; however, it’s turned out to be surprisingly stable. It took me about 30 minutes to put this together solo. I was fortunate to have a large area in which ivcoukd lay out all the parts. I checked to make sure they were all there before I began, then, followed the directions step by step. It was very forthright and easy to do.We added a 3-drawer sterlite “dresser” at one end of the second shelf and put the hanging rod as far to the top as possible. I left about 12” between the bottom 2 shelves. My new “closet” holds all my clothes and shoes. It’s easy to hang my robe, belts and purses on the hooks. I recommend for a situation such as ours. If it would need to be moved frequently, the unit might not be as stable, especially if the flooring is uneven. Nonetheless, it’s a winner for me!

best to have 4 hands when installing the shelves!
I love this sturdy garment rack, it is quality made. The directions are easy to follow and the dimensions are right on. The assembly is very straight forward. It is really best to have 4 hands when installing the shelves!I'm using it in a mud room for heavy winter clothing. The bottom shelf holds boots and shoe and I put small totes on the 2nd shelf for gloves and hats. The top shelf is perfect for my brimmed hats!I look forward to having it for many years!

Love This Oceanstar Garment Rack
I love this sturdy garment rack that I can move around without fear of it tipping and/or falling over. I love this type of metal shelving--four upright poles with wired shelves and/or clothes poles--for use anywhere in the house--bedrooms, laundry rooms, play rooms, garage, etc! I like that this Oceanstar came with two shelves in addition to the hanging, and hooks! No tools needed, People who complain about assembling these types of shelving have no clue or patience--my 14 yr-old disassembled a heavy-duty 5-shelf, 48" wide shelving by himself and reassembled in his bedroom for his toys and books. I wasn't happy that he didn't ask first but was impressed he did this by himself without instructions. (He said it was common sense once he figured out how the black clips fit together then tightened with the shelf over it. :-) )

Good Product
Wardrobe is sturdy, however, one of the pole connectors is either bent or mis-threaded. I tried it on two poles to make sure.Other than that, it is a satisfactory product and was easy and quick to assemble.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I have an alcove in my laundry room. I have had an old garment rack in that space since I moved in 5 years ago, but it was never really what I wanted. I was looking for something that would get my dirty towel tub, and other things off the floor, and have a shelf above that would accommodate the workout ball I have that really never had a home. The space obviously had a finite length it would allow. When this Garment rack came up in my search, it checked all the boxes. Nice looking, a hanging bar the length of the rack, a shelf on the bottom and a shelf on the top, the right length, and it even had some hooks for miscellaneous items. I can understand why some people would be frustrated trying to put this rack together, but if you read the instructions carefully and follow them step by step, it's really not that hard, and everything just works. I've put shelves like these together before (from the Container Store) which made it even easier for me. The compression pieces that hold up the shelves work like a charm if you get them put together and placed correctly. I put this together by myself in well under an hour. I think it looks great, and it works great. Definitely a great purchase!

Using it to hold SCUBA gear.
I was concerned that this rack wouldn't be sturdy enough to hold my SCUBA gear as it can be quite heavy. It was more sturdy than I expected and is working well. I'm using it to hang multiple wetsuits and BCDs. I installed the shelf about 10 inches from the top to hold my regulators and other smaller items and I use the hooks to hold my fins and even some bags. In this configuration the rack is still quite stable and moves around very easily. I don't know how well it will stand up to water from dripping gear as I haven't had it long enough. Overall I was pleasantly surprised as to how well it is working so far.

Estructura resistente

excellent very sturdy clothing rack that i transformed into 2 levels!
All i can say is WOW WOW!!! I transformed the one level clothing bar into 2 bars by using a long shoelace and folding it in two, then i wrapped it around the original bar like a pulley (goes around twice) and tied the shoelace high up as i can pull it. For the lower ''bar'' i took a clothing rack i had lying around and closed it to its smallest length (you can also use any pole like wood and cut it to the desired length) and also used a long shoelace and did the same thing for the lower level. My goal was to pull both bars as tight as i can go towards the shelf above it so as to give as much vertical space for the clothing to hang. And voila!! I transformed my one level bar rack into two bars! And for the side hooks, i also used a shoelace to tie it as high as i could go so i can hang long items like umbrellas. As for those saying the little supports that go underneath the racks were too fragile breaking off, i solved it by placing black masking tape around the little supports to prevent them from breaking off, and this solves the problem of the plastic supports coming apart. The BEST CLOTHING RACK I EVER OWNED! And i packed it full of heavy items and it is SUPER STURDY, does not bend or move.
