REEEEEELY good projector...
My room is roughly 30'x30', (living room open to kitchen). Until I get everything fine-tuned, I'm shooting a 100"+ image 17' away onto a peach painted wall. I have 4 BRIGHT can lights in the living room area, plus all the lights in the kitchen, plus 6 windows that leak some light around black blinds. So, no direct sunlight but certainly not a basement with no windows. With this setup, it's perfectly watchable as-is. The wash-out from the lights is minimal and fine for watching the news and sitcoms in daylight. It's so good, my wife doesn't want to spend the money on a screen. If we want to have movie night, we can just turn off the front lights. The kitchen lights in the back don't affect the image. I have already purchased an ALR screen for long-throw projectors and that will seriously mitigate the light from the ceiling, (as I have already tested with swatches from Elitescreens). I HIGHLY recommend this projector. It's as easy to set up and configure as you could imagine and shoots a bright image onto the wall - so much so that the whites are WHITE, NOT PEACH. If you want movie night - you CANNOT go wrong with this unit.

Not worth it at any price.
Absolute piece of crap. Within a couple months a bright pin needle spot showed up in the middle of the picture. Within a week or two a second one showed up. I contacted LG they would only repair it. I sent it in, 5 weeks later I got it back. a few months later the same type of spot shows up in a different place. It's mounted next to the ceiling and I need to move a motorized couch to get to it on a ladder. Not fun to install once let alone 3 times now. It's a small spot but very bright. You can not ignore it.

Awesome picture
Awesome picture. I had the probeam that was meant for office use initially and it had a good picture but this one is much better for videos. Much better contrast, faster images so less screen tearing, etc. Very happy with this projector.

It won't last
Big white dot in middle of the screen that after only 1 year. Buy a cheaper projector and save yourself the trouble. I had high hopes for this one, but it has let me down. Sometimes more expensive doesn't mean better. I tried contacting support but apparently no one knows who to talk to about projectors. Waste of 3800 bucks.

Never again second hand projectors
unfortunately couldn’t send it back as I was not in the us. It has a very notorious dead pixel in the center of the screen. The right image half is darker than the left one. Money waste.

Terrible quality and customer service - after 2 repairs still crappy image
After one year I had dead pixels and sent it out for repair, then it came back with yellow patches, send it back to repair it came back with pink patches on the image. Horrible experience, other than that you always have to adjust gamma and other picture setting to get a half way decent movie image.

There’s no way possible you can beat this projector for that price
We will see when the sun comes in the morning… either way tho this is an amazing projector. I’m curious why my Apple TV is struggling so hard to go into hdr mode and this will only let it do 4K sdr maybe I’m just confused on it but this product is amazing for the price range you couldn’t beet for probably $10 and step into Sony but again if you don’t light control that’s even still probably not gonna be able to keep up with this LG based on just what I’ve seen I mean I have 6 can flood lights overhead 4 more in kitchen (attached) and 7 more in the hallway around the living room. Nothing seemed to even get close to damping the image. May see some updates still first night.
