Taye DrumsGoKit GK518F-WP 5-Piece Drum Set

I had one of these in the black microflake. I was not impressed. The toms sounded great, but the bass drum really didn't have much depth, which is not surprising given its being on 7.5 inches deep. Adding an Aquarian superkick batter head helped, but it still wasn't all that good. The worst part of the kit was the snare drum, which I can safely say is the worst drum I have every played. The snares were low quality and the drum picks up sympathetic vibrations from everything, to the point that other members in the band were complaining about how annoying it was. I was also unimpressed with the service from Taye. After ordering it, the set took two months to receive. When I got it, there were parts (nuts) rolling around inside the snare drum, so that I had to take apart the drum to attach the butt to the drum. Also, I ordered the three-bag set that goes with the GoKit and four months later I still don't have it. I got so fed up with Taye and with this particular drum set that I traded it for a Gretsch kit, which is much better. I have a Taye Studio Birch set which I like a great deal, but the GoKit was a major disappointment and I am not pleased, at all, with Taye's service. I don't think I'd buy another Taye drum set.
