EGOWAY Replacement Battery (7200mAh)

I bought this battery in November 2019 for my mid 2012 Macbook Pro. Seemed to be OK although I did notice that it wasn't holding charge as well of late.I sometimes don't use the Macbook all that often and had probably not used it for a month when I noticed that the lip was sitting up proud of what it should be. Opened the lid and the trackpad was bulging up from underneath! On investigation, the Egoway battery had swollen up to such an extent that it had broken the trackpad from underneath. This has happened within 21 months of purchase. I now need a new battery and a new trackpad!

My Macbook Pro mid-2012 Apple battery could hardly hold a charge so it was time for a new one. The reviews for this battery seemed overall good so i made the purchase. For a while this review would have been 5 star, came quickly, easy to install etcHowever 6 months down the line its as bad as my old battery, probably get an hour tops if i'm lucky, usually more like 30mins, back to square one. I'd advise others to look for reviews either updated or written a while after purchase for a true picture of this batteries longevity

Packaging was good, arrived on time. Product is a perfect fit for the original battery in a MacBook Pro late 2011. Supplied screwdrivers are a nice touch but sadly not up to the same standard as the driver heads in my main tool kit - especially the tri-lobe. Too early to say whether this is an excellent product because it's only just gone through it's calibration charge/recharge cycle. It does appear to power the MacBook for more than two hours.Have no idea what Amazon mean by including "sheerness" as a review term for a replacement Laptop battery.

Fitting this is pretty straightforward modulo the usual annoyances of removing sticky Macbook screws and keeping track of where the different lengths should go. The battery itself has been fine so far; usage time seems comparable to the original one and my Macbook is rediscovering its freedom to roam far from the tethers of mains power.

Works a lot better than other non oem batteries. Battery life is comparable to original, no sudden shut downs. Fits well, easy to install if you have the right screw drivers (supplied with item)Take care when installing, don't use a metal object to pry up the old connector use your fingernailsMy only slight gripe is the price, I can't imagine these would be incredibly expensive to manufacture.
