I have been moving into a new home. When I opened this package I was heartbroken that one salad plate was broken in half. I can't bring myself to return it as that's the only recourse available as of present day. I am hoping that the seller can offfer an exchange. This is a heavy set, shiping after iinition purchase is not very appealing. The set is beautiful. However I would not recommend this for daily use. The china is not thin, but is fragile. Very interesting design. The expresso/ tea/ Sake China cup is worth the price, as long as you don't have to send back at your own cost . Shipping was fastinspite of being damaged.

Let me begin by saying that I inspected each piece as soon as this set arrived. It is so well packaged thatthere was not a break or chip in any of the pieces.The pictures don't do this set justice. It is beautiful. I'm already looking for coordinating pieces for this set.I intended to give this to my wife as a Christmas gift, but after seeing it I decided to give it to her early.She looks forward to serving Christmas dinner on it.
