Excellent piece of kit

I used my Wireless Headphones at the beach last week when I went to the Gulf Mexico. Everything worked great, there didn't seem to be any delay in the signal and it was awesome when I could set my detector down while digging without worrying with the cord. Problem was when I got back home and started washing the sand and salt off of the unit. I sprayed water on the sending unit before I remembered that it wasn't waterproof. I don't think anything was hurt because Garrett said it is water resistant. Just have to remember not to go into the water with it. I charged up both devices the night before going and never had any problems. Once charged, the light went off and I unplugged them, ready for an early start the next morning. I had my corded headphones with me just in case I decided to go into the water deeper than a couple of feet but decided to leave them in my truck and not go deep. Had a good time and I'm very happy with the headphones.

Great product. Open the box, charge the headphones and transmitter (5-6 hrs--wait for the red lights to go out), pair them (takes 5 seconds), and away you go. I've got an old Bounty Hunter with a 1/4" earphone jack so I didn't need a converter. Went into my field and presto, pinpointing was as exact as it is with wired phones. My only complaint is that the earphones could have been more comfortable--the plastic ear muffs accumulate sweat. They will probably be much better in the fall with the cooler temperatures, but they are the only drawback to this approach in the summer (I'm on Cape Cod--hot and humid--so I'm hard to please).UPDATE: I just bought some Xklmb Stretchable fabric headphone covers which fit the headphones perfectly. Three pairs of washable covers for $10.88 delivered (with Prime). I think they are going to solve the problem with the plastic/leather headphones sticking to my skin and accumulating sweat.
