Has anyone bought this for the cool uppercut deluxe logo that is so proudly featured in the description?

I did, but the hairstyle is such a hassle to do, I rarely "Quiff" it. It's a great brush and works fine for quiffing. But, be careful (as with any roller brush) that you don't get your hair snagged in it.

Does this work well in fine short hair

If by fine, you mean that the hair strands are thinner than people with thick hair, then yes. I have fine hair and have medium length-to-short hair. I mostly use it to roll back the hair on top like a pompadour. If your hair is too short for a pompadour, then this brush may not be ideal for you.
