Needs two sets, or 4 pieces, to hold canvass. I needed to lightly tap the pieces together with a hammer. Holds an 8X8 canvass well. Not super sturdy but will last if not handled roughly. I used them for a small canvass can’t speak to how it would work on a larger one. Really should be sold as four. I received an email that informed me it could arrive a month later while another email informed me it was shipped. I wondered where the heck it came from. However, it arrived the next day close to the Prime timeframe.

My review applies mainly to the cost of the stretcher bars here. The bars themselves are relatively easy to put together and the resulting frame holds together well, especially once the canvas is mounted. I don’t think I would use them for large projects, though. I have reused one set several times and can probably use it one more time.The price here is outrageous. Even with free shipping in Prime you can do a good bit better elsewhere - as in $4 less.

These stretcher bars are great for framing needle work and they fit nicely into frames that you can buy at any hobby shop like Michaels or Hobby Lobby and even Walmart or Target.

This is a reader and exactly what I needed for a counted canvas project. I prefer these slender bars as opposed to the wider, thicker ones. They are easier and lighter to hold.

I like these for smaller canvases as they are not bulky and are easy to handle.

The stretcher bars are as described but they are not very sturdy. If I were to order again, I would purchase a wider set.
