QGIS Map Design Paperback – March 1, 2016

I didn't have any problem getting started with QGIS. I was able to construct most of the maps I needed just by watching YouTube videos. But my maps had no polish whatsoever. If you work thru each of the exercise in this book you will be producing professional quality maps in no time. The instructions are very easy to follow and I found that my progress took off in just the first day of using this manual. I highly recommend this book.

This is a followup book for improving maps and map design. Start with the intro guide. The material is very dense. Also a good publication for maps .. map design.

I LOVE this book!! Has the perfect combination of guided examples coupled with skill development to allow for expanding and applying to your own work.

I've only just started digging into the recipes and I've already learned so much. The projects and data that come with the book are super helpful when following along, and the techniques the book teaches are really easily transmitted to your own projects. It's also easy to combine techniques from different recipes. I know more about QGIS now and my maps look so much more pro.

Il me faisait de l’œil depuis quelques temps, et la j'apprends qu'il y a une réduction de 25% sur l'e-book. Mais je préfère vraiment le papier, alors je craque.Envoi rapide, merci Amazon, mais quelle déception au déballage. Le contenu - soyons clair - est largement de ce que j'attendais, parfait.Mais l'objet ... liste de ce qui ne convient pas :- Couverture très (trop) souple qui donc va rapidement se marquer de plis- Pages fines, sur papier fin, basique et de faible qualité- Impression du niveau d'une imprimante jet d'encre, j'aurais fait aussi bien chez moi : illustrations avec couleurs fades, traits pas nets... c'est embêtant pour de la cartographie, vous ne trouvez pas ???- Impressions de travers : sur certaines illustrations pleine page, j'ai un liseré blanc en bas, un reste de page non imprimé... mausavise découpe peut-être ? Incoyable ....... je suis donc très déçu de l'objet.Je mets 3 étoiles car si il existait deux notes, j'aurais mis 5 pour le contenu ... et 1 pour l'objet.En conclusion, comme cité dans un commentaire ci-dessous : Prenez l'e-book, car le format papier est, sinon à la limite du vol, un pure déception.

Very pleased to see this quality of training and reference material coming available for the open source QGIS package. Very valuable resource to those of us who are using QGIS in daily business. I've used QGIS for many years, but there are still good examples​ in here I was able to learn from and improve my map output.

Great book with step by step help for good map design. Many aspects are treated. From simple to more complex ones. For every aspect there is a separate chapter.Some basic knowledge of QGIS is requiered. I would prefer this in german, but the persons who are interested in QGIS are from all over the world. So englisch is the Best choice.For users with some experience the book shows a good and easy way to have a good map design in QGIS.

The paper is to thin. Also the print isn't the best. It's a shame because the content is very good. To expensive for the quality presented. Don't recommend.
