Waltz is a beautiful sheer white nail polish. I've seen bad reviews because it's not opaque, but it's not supposed to be. If you want an opaque color, this is not for you. I really like that it's a true white, not beige or pink. I love wearing just one coat to give my nails a touch of color and shine, very delicate.It lasts about 5 days, could be better but it's not bad.

This polish is semi-sheer with a pearlescent finish. It takes about 3 coats for opacity. Anything less than that will allow your nails to peek through. You have to shake it well and be mindful since the first coat can be streaky but this disappears with a second coat. If you are not good at applying nail polish, this may not be for you. You need to have good control during application to get a good result. The polish is beautiful against my skin tone and is versatile. I would recommend it for tanned, olive and darker complexions. This would also be a terrific base for nail stamping and designs. It would also be a nice color for a bride on her wedding day. There is a little pink and green shimmer in certain light.

I was initially going to give this nail polish color a 2 or 3 star, but after trying it again, I’ve bumped it up to 5! The trick to get it less streaky for me was to apply 2 thin layers. I initially was trying too thick of a layer on my first layer & it was turning out really streaky. Nice, clean, crisp white nail polish!

This color, "WALTZ," is a pure, light, white to ivory. TWO coats make one's nails look awesome. And chips don't show nearly as badly as with brighter color polishes either!The staying power is about average, but dependent on base coat quality like any polish is. But it is the pureness of the white-ivory with a bit of warmth, and NO sparkle, that are the selling points of "Waltz." I started using this color about three years ago, BEFORE so many people turned to the white nail polish or natural look. I always took my own polish to the nail shop and my manicurist had not seen anyone using this color. But he said it would look good with anyone's coloring. I don't see how anyone is now using these thick, goopy opaque colors like bright blue, or drab gray. This is beautiful and natural looking... and a LOT more natural looking than French manicures, for sure!

I love the brush applicator on Essie nail polish. I’m not a fan of OPI’s at all. This color is timeless and classic. It’s not too sheer, it’s perfect for all skin tones in my opinion.

I have been using the Essie Gel Coture polish but decided to go back and try old reliable "Waltz". It's just as perfect as I remember it. ;Works perfect with a great topcoat like Seche Vive. Will keep this in stock!

A decade ago I brought this Essie color from NY and couldn't find it in any store. Finally went on line and I now order it by the half dozen every time. I get lots of compliments from everyone, it's not flashy like the French whites you find at salons, very understated, shiny, super elegant. I'll continue buying this product for as long as Amazon can deliver.

This is a classic, gorgeous color! Waltz by Essie is my new favorite sheer! It's hard for me to find nice colors that compliment my skin tone - this has bluish tones which compliments my very yellow undertone. The effect is amazing!!

One of the better white nail polishes I have tried - some are like tippex and some are very thin/ streaky. Does seem to dry/ go thick quite quickly as it is being brushed on though so you have to be fast to get a smooth coat on. I normally use it underneath other colours for doing ombre nails so don't need a flawless finish but I needed to apply quite generously to cover well using only 2 coats.

Arrived promptly, but the colour is very different from the image provided. The colour is more of a neon pink than a peach!

this polish by essie is by far my favorite colour from essie that i own. its a lovely summer red and have worn it non stop. i had never tried essie before but for 3.99 i couldn't be tamed:)
