Its hard to measure accuracy of a thermometer that goes to such high temperatures, since the only "reference temperature" you have is boiling water -- it looks close. Close enough for me certainly.Its bright, colorful, and easy to see at a good distance. I like it!

Very easy to install - no tools required. Large, easy to read dial. Has colored “zones” for different temperature ranges. I would definitely recommend this product.

This item stopped working the very first time that I used it. It fluctuated 300 degrees back and forth. I verified the grill temp with two independent electric thermometers. Those were steady at 350 while this piece of junk read 150. After an hour it stopped working completely. Very, very poor quality.

I ordered this as an upgrade for me egg. Looks good, big display and advertised as waterproof. I got it in good condition. Packaging was fine. It said you cant adjust the temp. So, i made a mark at freezing point. Left it in ice water for 20mins. All good right. I smoked a salmon fillet in my egg with it. All still good. Left it out to cool down for the night. When i got to it the next morning. The gauge read the current temp as 900 degrees!! I checked it out with the ice water test. Since i made a freeze mark. The neddle moved 1/8 of an inch. No where near the original mark. So, got a hold of amazon. And the return was free. Just had to bring it down to a ups store. Simple. They also sent a replacement that day i filed the complaint. Got it 3 days later in good condition.Checked it out. Made the freeze mark again. Then smoked a semi-boned lamb roast. Damn was that good!! Anyway, did the same thing as before. Next morning i looked and the needle seems to be in a reasonable place. So, i did the ice test again. Bingo!! Square on the freeze mark!!Decent product. Looks good and is accurate (when you get a good one). A good upgrade for that 5-8 overhaul of a BGE. Would buy again and recommend to anyone reading this.Amazon return service is great!!
