they are a great size, a tad on the thin side, but the other way more expensive ones i bought are thicker and i can use THOSE for more urgent needs. i am buying these to cover my art areas to use hot wax (encaustic) so i wanted something big and thick enough to do the job well.what i will say about these is if they are folded (yours) when they come like mine were you may spend quite some time to peel them apart...like over 1/2 hour of gentle pulling and pullingand pulling...a little more pulling and that might do it.just sayin'a layer of parchment paper in the fold might have REALLY been a good idea...

False advertising. This is not for counter tops, not to be used as place mat. It is not easily removable or easy to wash.It WILL NOT come off any surface you put it on. It superglued itself to my counters. It ripped paint off a wood tray.This is without any heat being applied! It was used to protect the counter from powders and fruit juices. No heat from stove (in case you think it melted).Works like contact paper on steroids.

love the purple (lavender) /seems to clean easily/ I hope it is as heat resistant as other silicone products I have. It was purchased for underneath toaster oven. I subtracted 1 star because of the 'stuck together ness (?) frequently mentioned by reviewers. A real difficult thing to separate the folded part . to the sellers-- HOW ABOUT PUTTING PACKING TISSUE in between so customers do not hate you ? I used heat from a hair dryer to separate the first one , then put in freezer for awhile for 2nd . I think the cold one went faster ?? It should not be that difficult.

I recently just did a major reno of my contertops to concrete skim. I put in a lot of time and labor getting them to beautiful.I purchased 6 of these "counter protectors" for the heavy work spaces of the counters.However, the packaging is HORRIBLE and every one of the mats has creases and ding marks on them. I laid them out flat and even tried placing weight over the marks in hopes that they would smooth out but nothing worked.These should NOT be folded for packaging and shipping. They should be rolled and tubed to maintain the smooth surface of the silicone.I'm disappointed and unhappy with how they "look" on my counter.I thought I would prefer these over glass cutting boards. Guess I was wrong.I will add that, as stated by others, they are very stuck together when received.They are very easy to clean. I will also agree that there is now a residue on the counter where the mat is sitting.

It stuck immediately on my surface and I couldn't remove it, even with razor blade. I still have residue on my brand new stove. Do not buy !

In addition to this product being easy to clean, it also stores away neatly in a drawer until use. The main reason I purchased this was its anti skid qualities. My wife likes to bake and sometimes bowls have a tendency to slide around on the counter. Too, she can put dough between the two pieces and roll without the dough sticking to the pin. Works great.

I purchased these mats to protect the butcher block top of the utility cart I use with my outdoor kitchen. I quite often have a need to protect the top from high heat pots as well as whatever comes of the grill or smoker. the two mats are perfect end to end when the leafs are both up. My only regret is the unavailability in black. No big deal.I highly recommend this product.

These mats are great! They cover enough table or counter tops for great protection from heat. I use mine on my table for my air fryer or toaster oven. They also are good for hot pots and pans and baking pans right out of the oven.
