Takes the pain out of storing rechargeable batteries, and made in the US
I came back to buy more of these and while I'm here I figured I'd write a review. With 3 kids we go through AA and AAA batteries quickly - even faster when you throw in my battery-hungry camera flash (Canon 580EX II. For years I've bought batteries in bulk at our local warehouse store, which is wasteful and expensive over time. Now that rechargeable batteries no longer suck (the new low discharge Ni-MH batteries like the eneloop brand are great) I decided to make the switch from disposable batteries.Battery storage was a concern - at least the bulk pack of disposables was its own battery holder. I didn't want a jumble of rechargeable batteries sitting around...it would be unsightly and I know my kids would throw discharged batteries in with the charged batteries.I looked at every battery holder Amazon sells and settled on these. I needed storage only for AA and AAA batteries so wall-mount storage that holds a fixed number of every type of battery was not suitable. I don't think we even have anything that uses 'C' cells in the house. I didn't need a battery tester - I use the La Crosse Technology BC-700 battery charger which has a much more accurate meter than some cheap analog gauge. I also prefer to buy products made in the USA.Batteries slide easily into these holders (I have both eneloop and Duracell rechargeable batteries) and lock securely in place. Since these caddies were originally designed for pilots it only takes one hand to pop the batteries out. The caddies stack well so they sit nicely on a shelf. I also purchased the Storacell 12 Pack AA Battery Caddy, which can stand up vertically.I have no hesitation in recommending these caddies. They're surprisingly affordable and they couldn't be better designed. They're tough, too - we've already dropped full caddies with no damage to the caddies. The caddies are not indestructible, however. In my zeal for consumer testing I dropped a 12 battery caddy, fully loaded (the caddy, not me), from a height of about 8 feet onto a tile floor. It landed squarely on the end the batteries are loaded into and 3 of the battery holder tabs broke off.As long as you're not a knucklehead like me, though, these are more than sturdy enough for everyday use and normal hazards. Now I'm off to buy another AA holder...and post this review over there too.

Truly handy & hardy
Love this things, got a BUNCH of them for all my rechargeable batteries, so easy to carry around, and not chance the batteries will be making a bunch of noise while hunting. Worth every penny!! buy them, with your money!!

Great Item!
I was one of those people who kept backup batteries in my backpack in a sandwich bag. It always sat on my head that it wasn't a safe way to store them. I'm so glad I discovered these battery holders. I ordered the AA and AAA sizes which are perfect for me. They hold each battery safely so that none of the contacts touch. And when I need one, they slide right out easily. The holder weighs almost nothing in my hand. Because they space the batteries from each other a little bit, it does use up a little extra space; however I feel that it's a fair compromise for safety and to prevent dead or leaking batteries in your pack. I have the confidence that I'll have functioning batteries when I need them. Now, they're only in a sandwich bag to keep them dry, not to keep them together.I never knew these existed until I stumbled upon them while shopping for batteries. For such great prices and peace of mind, I'm very happy with this purchase.I can recommend these battery holders for anyone who needs to travel with batteries. 5 Stars!

Almost perfect battery organizer
I got tired of having loose batteries floating around in our junk drawer and searched Amazon for a solution. I love Amazon because they carry just about everything, and the few times when I've had a problem, they have always resolved it to my satisfaction. The box type organizers seem like a good idea, but they occupy a lot of space, don't hold enough AA's, or hold too many of the sizes I don't need. Some include a battery tester, though its accuracy is questionable. I don't think I need a battery tester if I can keep track of new versus used. Besides, I already own a volt meter and can use it if needed. Then I found these. They are more expensive, and so I was hesitant to buy them. I searched for a suitable alternative and couldn't find anything that would meet my needs as well as these. I ordered these and have been very pleased with my decision.I bought as many of each type as I needed, and now all my batteries are protected and easy to access. The batteries are locked into the holder and won't fall out, but are still easily removed. Batteries can be inserted in either direction, making it easy to keep track of the ones that have been used but are still good, or in the case of rechargeables, tracking charged vs discharged. They come in several different colors, which you can use to indicate something like battery chemistry. It would be nice if holders of the same size could be assembled, rather than being separate. That would make this the perfect battery organizer, in my opinion.

Fantastic product, fits 10440 batteries perfectly
Have bought multiple of these for my 10440 batteries. Great small and simple holder. Good build quality. Would recommend

Not Cheap, But Probably the Best You'll Find
Not much to say that others haven't. In summary: they load and unload individual cells easily (and one-handed), they hold them tight, and there is no latch or hinge to break like on other plastic battery holders. This is in my EDC to hold AAA eneloops for my various flashlights, headlamps, walkie-talkies and other device which may use this cell size.Four, instead of five, stars for seeming expensive for what is essentially a piece of plastic, even if it is a very nice piece of plastic.

I love these things
I constantly use AAA batteries in dance classes to power wireless microphones so used to have a tonne of batteries everywhere and never being able to find a charged one when i need it.Along came this caddy and it is such a simple yet brilliant idea. holding 6 batteries at a time means i only need one or two of these to have a supply for microphones which last me for agesI have a simple way of organising them, when they are discharged i turn them upside down so i can instantly see which are charged and which need charging which saves an enormous amount of time before a shoot trying to work out which need charging (previously i gave up and just recharged all of them which takes a considerable amount of wasted time)In short I love these things, I have about 3 of these and would easily recommend them to everyoneEdit(03/06/14) corrected title
