Super Reading Secrets

The book was meant for a REAL book! You will be practicing hand movements and page references that are exceedingly cumbersome on digital. Some passages change typeface but the kindle may not show it as the author has explicitly stated that the change in font is a crucial part of his lesson. I regret buying the kindle version. Great content terrible format

If this is the first book you have read on speed reading, Super Reading Secrets will be profound in places. Otherwise, there is not much new. I don't blame the book since it was published in 1992, and a lot of similar books have appeared since.That said, I have read many speed reading books, and I did learn some new things about reading comprehension.

Cannot get to the references he talks about in the book. The web address doesn't exist. Also he's referring to printing material that didn't come with my audio version.

This book has the potential to be LIFE CHANGING if you apply the techniques in this wonderful book! I've always had trouble because of my ADD focusing, concentrating and remembering what I read. I had tried other programs and speed reading courses to no avail. This book changed the way I read and absorb written material so that not only can I read much faster, but I'm able to remember WHAT I read! My plan next is to complete Howard's more in depth program online. You simply can't go wrong with such a small investment!

Good book, useful techniques but the print is terrible and the quality of pages is average.It's definitely helpful if you manage to follow the recommended lessons religiously.I've just begun, so I'll know my progress in a few months.

I fail to see why so many people are praising this book. I found the book very unhelpful as it lacks proper explanation of how to implement the suggestions for increasing your reading speed.The book starts off well enough and gives some helpful, if fairly obvious, advice e.g. spend longer on the first sentence of a paragraph, pick out the verbs in a sentence, use your finger to regulate your reading speed. Up to this point the book is alright. The author then goes on to tell the reader that to increase your speed further, you must start reading from right to left, and then several lines at the same time but gives absolutely no advice on how to do this! He just says to start reading books like this. I found this lack of instruction totally unacceptable and so I cannot recommend this book past the first couple of chapters.

It's simply a must have anyone that wants to be serious in life and an impart.

This book is very badly written and offers no advice on actually how to implement some of his techniques for improving your reading speed. He suggests reading two or three lines at a time, but with no explanations.This book is 13 years old and it really shows!

Amazing techniques on Speed reading simplified... Especially the reading backwards and power of schema and using a pointer are few wonderful and practical ways to increase speed in reading.. Meditation, Reduction of Sub vocalization, Increasing the peripheral vision field , reading in chunks are really the basic prerequisites to improve speed reading and learning.
