OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS School Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Dictionary

My nine year old twins are using this regularly to navigate the school system of spelling and grammar, it's more beneficial than looking up "modal" verbs or "adjectives" on Google as they are learning to use a dictionary that also has an index and contents section. Using a book is more real than using the internet and information is better retained if they are doing something physical.

I absolutely love this book. The definitions, explanations and examples are so clear, as well as being easy to understand.It's a great little reference book for kids and adults (teachers) alike. Would highly recommend to NQTs or those who need to brush up on their SPAG.

Great for helping the kids with their homework and for supporting my writing too. It's simply written and easy to understand.

This dictionary although full of pictures and very colourful, it's more suited to KS1. Had to return it.

As a parent to 2 children who are studying KS2 - this book has been a god send! This really helps understand all of the terminology that they use in English grammar and punctuation homework and provides really easy to understand examples (perfect for the kids and parents). It saves me having to google terms constantly!
