Electronic Dartboard

So Far....So Great! Definite five star.
Definite 5 star! Got it yesterday, had the app working on my iphone instantly.I researched every mid/upper end electronic board I could find online for many hours. After also looking at Viper, Arachnid and others, I quickly narrowed it down to the Gran Board (2 or Lite) or the Dartslive. I am very happy with my choice. In several test games there were almost no bounce outs when playing seriously (when experimenting from the side, etc there were many bounce outs). All playing so far was with the 6 lightweight free darts that came with the board. They include several extra tips but I haven't needed/used any yet. I just ordered better/heavier darts (16/18 gram) and extra tips. Chat boards say 18 gram maximum for Gran board lite and 20 gram for Gran Board 2. I assume the heavier darts will play even better. (Other reviews say so)I played darts semi-regularly years ago. I never regularly played with soft tip. So far I love it. The app is easy to use and loads of fun. When I ordered I decided I didn't need the other 3 features of the Gran Board 2 (it has sensors outside the outer edge to record misses, the parts are replaceable and it has more sound insulation). I feel great about this choice of Gran Board Lite.It seems very durable. Looks good. Can fit inside standard size dart board cases. Darts stick well. Not too hard to remove darts. Few bounce outs. No broken tips. Battery operated (reviews online said batteries last a long time). Regulation 15 1/2" size. App is very cool and reviews say it's being upgraded regularly. Hi tech. Big wow factor for friends. App works well (piece of cake) on my iPhone 6 and I assume it will work fine on iPads and Androids too. Can mount tablet or tv on wall to help make a great party/family activity. Message board comments say Gran Board is developing app to work online so you can challenge friends and dart players worldwide over Internet (probably a future subscription fee for that) with Gran Boards. We bought the Gran Board Lite to see how much we would play, figuring that if we play a lot we will then get the Gran Board 2 in addition as our primary board and keep the Gran Board lite for use in a second room and for travel. We will probably be ordering the Gran Board 2 very soon.More info availible in darts chat boards. I found one called dartsnutz.net that has lots of info about this dart board and many others. My 10 year old son loves it. (It's a little difficult for him to remove the darts). My wife loves it too, including how it looks. Although you can hear the sound of the darts hitting he board, it's not too loud. If we had the board against a neighbors wall in an apartment building or on a wall where someone slept/studied/read, it might be disturbing and that factor might push to springing the extra $120 for the Gran Board 2.It is great at any price. At $125 delivered. It's an outstanding value on top of being a great product. So far....so great.

For the price, an awesome dartboard!
Ok, so I was looking into replacing my old dartboard and a search on Amazon turned up the usual brands that you can find in most stores. After some review reading and browsing I happened to notice this board buried pretty far down in the results. At first I wasn't sure what I was looking at but then I decided to see if anyone had a video on Youtube. Low and behold, I found some videos from.......Japan. Now my Japanese is a bit rusty *non-existent* but at least they gave me a better understanding of what the board is and how it works.Simply put, the board is nothing more than a regular electronic dartboard but instead of all the clunky or tacky looking built-in displays, it uses bluetooth to pair to a compatible phone or tablet. (In my case I paired it to an Ipad.) So you download the accompanying app (free), pair it to your device, choose from a pretty robust choice of games, and before you know it your're having a blast!I'm very happy with this purchase and pleased with how it works so far. Plus the app has updated a few times now and included a couple new games, features and bug fixes. I should also mention, it mounts to the wall with 3 screws and is simple to move so I have both a spot for it in my basement and garage which is nice and it only operates on 2 AA batteries so you don't have to be near an outlet. And I've had the board for about 3 months now and still haven't changed the batteries even after forgetting to turn the board off over night once. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because navigating the app can be a bit confusing until you get used to it but I guess that's not really the board's fault. However, in regard to the board I have noticed that on rare occasions a mark hitting the edge of one number with actually register as the adjacent number. And also, depending on the type of soft tips you use it can be difficult to pull the darts out. While that may help with bounce outs I've noticed that if the darts are stuck to the point that you have to pull very hard it's best to hold the individual section of the board with your other hand since it could maybe pull the whole section out. However, after switching to different tips it hasn't been nearly as bad and I still don't get many bounce outs.Overall, very happy and will update my review if anything changes.

Awesome
Bought this thinking that it maybe would cause some headache but it's really really really good. You need to throw the darts very strong to make them to enter the small holes but it kinda adds more fun because you can't aim very well throwing this fast. The app works like a breeze. No issues at all until now with my iPhone 7 and also with my iPad 2 (From 6 yrs ago). The board comes with 6 darts and some extra tips but they are far away from the professional ones. Anyway if you want to play just for fun they are good enough.I installed this in a wall at my balcony and we had a great time playing it.True 5 star product.

Well worth it!
I have been researching several of these online dart boards, and I had thought I would need to purchase one for 2 to 3 hundred dollars and so I very please when I found the Gran Board Lite for half the price. I then looked at the different apps between the various boards and they offered online play, but one of them offered only a random opponent and instead of video of your opponent you only got a photo each time a dart hit the board. The Gran Board allows me to see how my opponents are ranked and if I would like to play them or not. The app also gives plenty of practice and party games as well. The app has worked very flawless for me and the board itself seams to link up very well with all of my devices.
