Following insects from egg to adult, Insect Life Cycles outlines the amazing changes different species of insects go through before they become fully-grown. Full-color photographs and detailed illustrations of insects, from the familiar to the exotic, are featured. Topics include - incomplete and complete metamorphosis - where insects lay their eggs - what growing nymphs and larvae eat - how they find food - how nymphs and larvae protect themselves from predators - how insects molt Teacher's guide available. Review: Excellent Nonfiction Text & Beautiful Photos About Insects - Insect Life Cycles by Bobbie Kaufman is an excellent beginning nonfiction reader! The text is detailed and not watered down like some beginning readers. The vivid pictures show up-close details that make my first grade students excited about learning. The book is made very well, with thick, glossy pages. I plan to purchase more in this series. Review: Five Stars - Perfect book.
