Quality Piano Stand
This piano stand has been holding our Donner piano for awhile now and it is very sturdy. It is relatively inexpensive for how stable it is. It's really simple to put together. With the adjustable width and height, you'll find your desired measurements. It fits well in the space that we designated for it and looks great. We weren't looking for something movable so if that's what you want, then this might not be the stand for you. It's over all great for home use.

Heavy duty stand at a super bargain price!
Price paid: $45.48 ($34.99 + $10.49 shipping) on 2013-07-24. I was looking for a good quality stand for a 31 lbs keyboard that would allow the player to sit comfortably while playing. So, X or XX stands were not an option because of their design having the supporting bars on the way of the player's knees. I had to get a Z stand or equivalent. Considering the price and quality of all options that qualified, this stand was a very easy choice. It would have been even easier, if I had a very heavy keyboard. This stand is similar to a Z stand with an additional supporting bar for each side. So, it should be more stable than a normal Z stand. The height adjustment notches are just about 1.5 inches apart starting at a very low height. Nobody should have trouble getting the perfect keyboard height with this stand. The same goes for the width adjustment range. The adjustment pins are spring loaded and there is padding on the surfaces that contact the floor and the keyboard, and a hex key for assembly duties. The usual market price for a stand of this caliber and quality would be at least $100 and normally about $120. This stand does not come with assembly instructions and it doesn't need them for people with normal intelligence, except for one detail. The two parts that look like big square washers, are washers. As all washers, they should be placed right next to the bolt's head; that is, on the outer side and not the inner side of the supporting bars. If they are placed on the wrong side, they won't do their job and the stand will be wobbly. Regarding portability, mounting and dismounting the stand is fairly easy and quick. It won't be very quick though, because you will still need to assemble it and disassemble it, by screwing in and out the two (left and right) side bolts that hold it together. So, it is not a foldable stand. But, putting it together is neither a long nor a tedious task, unless you have to set things up very quickly before your performance. It does not feel neither heavy nor light for its size. I can't say more on this matter because I have not had any other similar design stands to compare.

Good heavy duty stand
Nice 30 stand, it is a little heavy though. When I use two keyboards, though, I feel very safe with them on it.

Heavy duty and perfect for stationary applications; sets up and tears down easily, but a bear to transport
I purchased this stand for my rehearsal studio. I was impressed by the other reviews and wanted a stand that was rock solid and inexpensive. This one met both criteria. It's not ungodly heavy, but the design makes it somewhat impractical for gigging. Yes, it's easy to quickly set up and tear down, but awkward to transport. Unlike the On Stage KS7350 Pro Heavy Duty Folding Z Keyboard Stand that I also own, this one will not fit into a stand bag (I use an On Stage KSB6500 Keyboard Stand Bag ), and the arms on this one are fixed. On the On Stage stand the arms fold flat. One other thing of which you should be aware is the arms that support your keyboard are slightly angled downward. I am guessing that the incline is about five degrees, give or take. My Roland RD-300NX is heavy enough to stay put, but my Casio Privia tends to creep a bit. Overall, this baby is built like a tank and is perfect for super heavy keyboards. The height adjustment is far superior to the On Stage model that I mentioned, and the price is incredible compared to other Z-stands on the market.

Solid, sturdy and Stable
This is the real deal, very substantial, stable, sturdy, solid ... all that and more. Easy to assemble and adjust, the metal is finished well. It is heavy - but how could it not be? An average man or woman could easily put this together, anyone who is disabled or weak will probably want some help. It is probably going to be deeper than most people need and that part cannot be adjusted as that is two solid pieces of metal. So you need to allow for a bout 2 feet from the wall even if your keyboard is not that deep. For many this will be overkill, what I like most is just how completely stable it is once it is tightened down it just won't move at all unlike the x brace stands I have used in the past that wobble and or shake. A bit expensive but the materials used are high quality.

Perfect for a very large heavy keyboard.
This is wonderful. We bought a Yamaha DGX 650 78 key piano keyboard used and it came with the X style stand. You can not find a furniture stand to go with it and if you buy new it comes with one. The X stand was not sturdy, it felt the keyboard could easily be pulled off. And even with a 7 year old, I was worried he could get hurt especially in the room wrestling with friends or even the dog. This stand was the perfect answer. It is so sturdy I can't express how happy I am! For a large keyboard like this the arms do not stick out too much. It was easy for my husband to put together and has a lot of width and height adjustments. We dont have it adjusted as far wide as it will go even and the stability is just great. Perfect for a very heavy large keyboard. I can try to shake the keyboard and it barely moves.

First Impressions
After figuring out a simple overlooked error I made in assembly, I'm ready to say this stand is impressive! This is my first piano stand of any kind; I previously used a very shaky desk for my old 61 key portable, but once upgrading to my 88-key Casio Privia, it was obvious I needed to upgrade it's base! The aforementioned piano shipping weight was 40lbs, and this thing handles it with ease! As many others have said, there is absolutely NO movement with it when playing. This is worth every penny paid, and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone! About the overlooked error I mentioned: I noticed a rattling sound while playing at first, and it made me think my speaker had a problem. After a little poking around, I realized the stand was rattling if I tapped it! I was ready to take a couple stars off my review until I figured out the problem: on the horizontal bar is two tightening screws (with the big black handles), and with my stand spread as far as it is, the one screw is no longer pressed against anything, and IT is what caused the rattle. Simply tightening it down fixed the issue, and life is good again (hope that helps any fellow frustrated purchasers)! Also, I update all my reviews as things change.

Heavy Duty and Functional. Better than other products out there.
I bought the following: Yamaha EZ-220 61-Lighted Key Premium Portable Keyboard Package with Headphones, Stand and Power Supply. The stand provided in the kit was HORRIBLE. It was lightweight and flimsy with two plastic tabs designed to "hold" the keyboard in place. Not a chance - the key board would slide around and jump the tabs and everyday I risked my kids breaking their keyboard. I ordered this product (compliments of Amazon!!! For that story you can read my review on the Yamaha EZ-220 61-Lighted Key Premium Portable Keyboard Package) and am very happy with it. This stand has no instructions with it, but if I could figure it out, its not that complicated. The product is heavy duty and doesn't slide around. Also not being an "X" shape stand, your knees don't hit the legs in the middle of the "X". The base is wide and sturdy, keeping it in place. I also like that the top arms that hold the keyboard have rubber grips that don't allow the key board to slide around. Its also height adjustable, so will last for years as my kids grow. This is how a stand should be.
