Get a better brand
The length seemed to be fine. However, the issues with these laces are as follows - the laces were a bit thin. I've bought other brands (LL) that had thicker diameter. - the ends of the laces did not have plastic caps. Fortunately, the hiking boot has large eyelets and I could thread the laces. Other brands I've bought had hard plastic ends like regular shoe laces and you can push them through small eyelets. - the locking mechanism spring is lightweight and does not hold the lace tight, the laces slip through with little pulling force. Again, other brands I bought Locked Laces tight with no slipping.I will not buy this brand again.

Both Sets I Bought Were Defective
Sorry to give this one star, but I feel obliged to do so. I ordered 2 pair and I think the seller knew they would not work. I laced up the shoes and the one lock didn't work and both locks were way too big for the laces. I am so disappointed in Amazon.I love this type of lace system and will one of my order my usual brands.
