We bought this to use as kids toy storage, so that it isnt scattered all around the living room when not in use. It does that! The material is soft but nice. Very Very easy to put together. Great price for what you get. Not only does this bench serve a useful purpose (laying stuff on, sitting on, storing stuff in) but it also is decorative! Not an eye sore when standing in your house! NOTE: The hinge takes up storage space when the unit is shut closed. Storing a box under the hinge wouldnt work (unless it laid below the hinge) but a blanket or pillows wouldnt be a issue! This bench sits at the foot of an adjustable bed. I mentioned adjustable bed because this type of bed is higher than a bed with a regular frame. Having said that, the bench looks lower to the ground in my setting. I’m glad I purchased this bench, I love the fawn brown color and the linen look. It matches my color scheme very well. It arrived in a very secure packaging and all you have to do is screw on the solid wood legs! It’s a very sturdy piece of furniture, the fabric also withstands the abuse of dog nails (doesn’t snag) as the dog goes on it to get up & down our bed. The storage is also a big plus! I would highly recommend!

We purchased 2 of these and put them together to simulate a coffee table. The gray color is a little darker than we expected. Also The weathered/texture look isn’t as prominent in real life as in the photos. However the overall quality appears to be solid and it was easy to assemble the 4 legs. We do also plan to utilize these as occasional benches for a near by dining table. The top is pretty firm so they will function great as a dining bench.

We use it in the family room to store games and crafts for the grandkids when they visit. It's attractice and sturdy. It also serves as additional seating.
