Nice heavy weight stainless steel. I prefer to place a sugar cube in the center and then pile on the ice and dribble water over it with a nod to the traditional method without the use of the fountain. Works beautifully with a nice simple design that accommodates many different sizes of glasses from traditional to contemporary.

I'd only used the kind of broullier that's a little cup sitting over the absinthe glass, usually with a lever to direct drops to a sugar cube. I like this one better. With a little practice you learn just how much water you need for the louche, and if you want a sugar cube just add the water in 2-3 batches with time to rest in between. The first will soften the cube, the second will dissolve most of it, and a third may help if it's turbinado sugar.

Nicht ganz... Fontäne macht natürlich um einiges mehr her. Gerade in Gesellschaft. Aber wenn man z.B. alleine Lust auf eine grüne (in dem Fall viertel) Stunde hat, ist man mit dem Brouilleur aus dem Hause Alandia bestens bedient und muss nicht noch aufwändig die Karaffe aufstellen und anschließend reinigen, abtrocken.... ihr kennt das...Die Qualität ist hervorragend und erfüllt seinen Zweck voll und ganz. Alandia hat es mal wieder geschafft mich zu begeistern.5 Sterne und die Empfehlung mal in den Online Store von Alandia zu schnuppern.

Passt perfekt auf meine Absinth Gläser. Aus Edelstahl gefertigt und nicht aus billigen Blech. Alle Schriften sind entweder gestanzt oder graviert. Durch die vier kleinen Bohrungen tropft das Wasser langsam ab.Funktioniert also wie im Video gezeigt. Mir gefällt die Möglichkeit die Eiswürfel draufzulegen.Würde ich der Löffelmethode vorziehen. Kann ich besten Gewissens empfehlen
