Shoreline Marine Screw Kit Stainless Steel (168 pieces)

I am not sure why the other reviewers are complaining about this product. This is a very convenient compact set of common small stainless screws in a 4 section plastic container. This is perfect to keep on board for any repairs that you have to make at sea, it is also very handy for small projects, and considering the price, I find it to be an excellent value considering the normal hardware store cost for stainless screws these days. Don't expect to get a huge project done with this kit as you only get about 8 of each screw style and an assortment of washers and such. Furthermore, if you know that you need a specific screw, go to the hardware store and buy that specific screw.

Bought these to mount a transducer on my boat thinking I would need top quality screws. Not!. The head of one these snapped off with almost no torque leaving my transducer with only two screws to hold it on. I have driven thousands of screws form Home Depot and have never had this happen before. Stay away!

Our pontoon boat had some of its plastic screws on the steering column break over the summer. I purchase this and had all the parts I needed to replace it. It was nice to have everything I needed with extra to spare. A few months after install, the screws have proven to have maintained a waterproof seal and have no signs of rust even with significant water exposure
