Nice prop history with enough theory to understand why different designs are used. MIT has free Props design program using Matlab to get you designs that work well....on paper?

Any book is a valuable addition to a technical library, and this promised much from the description; however, it fell short of the mark.Plenty of pictures of propellers but a distinct lack of data.If you are aeronautical engineer or student, it is not of any value; but for aircraft enthusiasts or modellers it has some merit.

Covers an interesting subject that does not receive much attention in most aviation publications. Would recommend especially to pilots and engineers who want a very readable overview of the theory and history of propellers.
