More than pleased about the condition of the book, the seller, the delivery time.Jamies simple to follow recipes are a joy. So nice to get out of the rut of boring old salads with just adding a new twist to them. Simple good honest food...yumyum:O)

UPDATE - simply brilliant - rustic family food
I have hundreds of cookbooks, many of which i love... but I've never found the right everyday book until now. This book is a godsend: simple, sexy, REAL rustic food with simple instructions, useful substitutions and gorgeous photos. Great for beginners -free of fancy ingredients and fancy equipment. If, like me, you cook a few dishes on the weekend to get you through the week, this is the book for you... your family will fight over THESE leftovers. Thanks, Jamie!UPDATE: A year later - Everything I cook from this book has made it on to my regular rotation. The Indian curries are divine (and use easy to find good quality curry paste which JO recommends), the meatloaf - although assembly requires some work - is a thing of beauty, the burgers, the beef chili, the chicken fajitas, the sauces, honestly absolutely everything! has been delicious and reheats beautifully. Only one iffy dish (pasta with baked seasoned brie) and that might have been more due to the quality of my brie. Not all of the recipes are speedy (there is a section for quick recipes and they're splendid) but they're all well-laid out and easy to follow and every single one has turned out the kind of food that a year later makes people jump in their car for my LEFTOVERS. You heard me.

A Must Have!Thank You Jamie Oliver!!!
I got this book from the library and kept renewing it. What an amazing book! I bought it as I feel this will be the book I give my 9 year old son when he leaves home so he can cook decent meals with real food! Very simple recipes but very tasty finished dishes, from stews to roasts and even breakfasts! I like how he lets you know, if you are cooking a roast for example, when to put the potatoes in and when to start the gravy and veg so everything is finished at the same time. I don't buy cookbooks really anymore as I get most of my recipes on line, but I feel this is a must have, especially if you have kids to pass it on to when they leave home!

Not quite the recipes I wanted,
I am a beginner, The just take the frozen food and shove them in the oven kind of guy.The recipes inside didn't quite do it for me, I mean it's not my kind of food or comfort food I'm used to and want to eat.It is well explained but I like simple, not too many ingredients type of recipes.So I'll just stick with finding simple recipes online and print them.There's nothing wrong with it but I returned it.
