This Machine Creates a Vacuum But Not Consistently
I Am Not a Fan of the Press System of LatchingI own a FoodSaver machine of advanced age, so I was hoping to get a replacement machine before my old reliable machine died. This one will do, but I do not like the on-off procedure because it is not easy nor as reliable as the old latch by turning a button system. This machine requires that you press the sides down until you hear a click indicating that a lock has been created. And this must be accomplished on both ends of the machine.I believe the idea of the press-down, two clicks latch system is to create a smaller machine for easier storage. And the machine is smaller and much easier to store. However, my old machine works every time I turn the latch button. I prefer that old system to the new.

Works like a charm… very happy
The media could not be loaded. After looking at dozens of vacuum sealing machines, I realized which options were important to me. I also discovered what seems to be two design flaws in many other machines. This model ‘checks all the boxes’ and doesn’t have the flaws, so I ordered it.The options I wanted are -+ Auto – one button, completely automatic vac and seal operation.+ Wet and Dry settings. This unit even has a third setting, called Gentle.+ Pulse, or ‘Inch’. Touch a button to activate vacuum for exactly as long as you want, then release to stop, to keep from crushing fragile items.+ Seal only, for chips and stuff you don’t want vacuumed at all.+ Stop or pause vacuum at any point – if you see moisture getting too close to the bag’s opening or things crushing, you can stop there and seal it.+ Hose accessory to use on canisters, wine bottles, and re-usable sealing bags. (The hose is 24”.)The first thing I wanted to avoid was having vacuum holes on the bottom, right where the bag opening sits. That means any liquid that gets sucked out could get sucked into the vacuum system (or pushed in during cleaning) and ruin it. This unit’s vacuum port is on the top, so unless you’re using it on the international space station in zero gravity, you should be good. The second problem I saw with some, is that the ‘Sealing’ band or heat strip is on the bottom. That means you could easily burn your hands when positioning bags during a long session. This one’s in the top, so once it’s open there’s no danger. The ‘buttons’ are under glass, so they don’t really get pushed… it’s touch, like the screen of your cell phone. I figure that might make them last longer than ones that actually have to be pressed, and it also makes cleaning a breeze. The rubber feet are fairly substantial, and plant it solidly on my countertop. The cord is permanently affixed, but a good length at 51” (4’ 3”) long. I wish it unplugged and stored inside of the unit when not in use, but my wife made a quilted fabric bag for the whole unit that keeps everything nice and neat. It comes in a box with a handle, which is also good for storage. You should store it closed, but not latched, as this will compress the vacuum seals.Cleaning is simple. Just wipe it with a damp paper towel, or take it apart for a full cleaning. To get it apart, just open the machine to the right angle, and the top slides right off. The dense foam seals pop out if you need to really deep clean.Total weight is 1236g / 2.73lbs / 43.6oz. Size is 14” x 5.5” x 2.5”. Sealing time 6-9 seconds, Vacuum Sealing time 10-20 seconds, vacuum pressure -60KPa (-0.6 Bars), rated power is 100 Watts.Operation – Put in bag so opening is inside the seal. Doesn’t matter if the rough side is up or down - as long as it has a rough side, it will vacuum. When closing the lid, use your palms at the ends. Instructions say you will hear an electronic “Kada” sound when latched properly, but I hear no sounds whatsoever, so mine may be defective. I can hear the latches click though, so I’m sure it’s latched.Press Mode button to select type of food (cycles through 3 options). Press button. It will light up, flash, and when it goes out, the sealing operation is complete. Press the two side buttons to open the lid. I found a complete vac/seal cycle was about 18 seconds. Just sealing takes less time, of course.I used several of the bags that come with the machine, with perfect results. I love that you don’t have to seal the bottom first, as you do with roll type bags, and that you can tear them open because there’s a notch cut in the side of the bags. I also tried different brands of roll bags, also with zero issues. It comes with “Manufacturer’s Lifetime Support”, whatever that means. I contacted the vendor/manufacturer BFTECH for clarification on any warranty, and they responded in under an hour with “Hello, there is a one-year warranty”. You can’t get a better response time, and the warranty period is as good as, or 12x better, than any other sealer I found in this price range. With only two days and about 30 bags under my belt, I’m certainly no expert. But (except for the “Kada” sound) it works exactly as advertised, and I’m a very happy camper.Pros+ Glass top, easy to clean, no buttons to wear out+ Comes apart easily for deep cleaning+ Electronics, heat strip, and vacuum on top - no chance of burns or liquid fouling vacuum.+ Lightweight and portable+ Comes with 24” accessory tube for canisters, wine, and re-usable bags+ Comes with 20 bags, so you’re ready to go+ Box has handle, can be used for storage+ One year warranty+ “Manufacturer’s Lifetime Support”… whatever that means.Cons- Buttons are silver color, while text is a slightly darker silver… difficult to read in some light.- No onboard cord or bag roll storage- No bag cutter- No wine stopper

Ok vacuum sealer.
This vacuum sealer does the job and seals and vacuumed air out of my bags.. But I noticed that it is not as strong as my old sealer. Also, you can’t continuously use it, you must take 85 minute breaks every 3-4 seals because the heat sealer gets too not and melts plastic bag. I have to say I’m not very happy with this unit, I would suggest to look elsewhere.

🥺
I just couldn’t get this to work right for me 🤷🏼♀️ It was hit&miss as to whether or not it would completely vacuum out all of the air. No problems with the sealing part. But when it doesn’t suck out all of the air, it’s kind of pointless. I tried various things (shredded cheese, chicken breasts, bread, hard candy) and while it probably was supposed to leave some room with the bread, the rest just weren’t airtight. So if you’re looking for something that can take out SOME air and seal (clothing, shoes, camping supplies like matches) then you’d probably get a lot of good use from this. Otherwise, you’ll waste a lot of the bags trying to get an airtight seal with food.

Suction feature needs work.
This appliance serves well for sealing items. For me the only setback is that it does not suction as well as I think it should (at times you are left with a lot of air in the bags). However, when it does suction well, it's great. Also there is no info found in the booklet provided, on how to use the hose which accompanies the device.
