A remote arctic diamond mine unknowingly uncovers a deadly creature buried deep beneath the ice: PREDATOR X - the biggest dinosaur to ever roam the arctic. Emerging from hibernation, the beast rampages through the mine, killing everyone in sight. When a pair of ice road truckers show up delivering supplies, the only thing they find are the bloodied remains of the miners. They quickly race back to the dangerous ice road, but the deadly creature tags along for the ride. When it strikes again, the trucks are destroyed, and our heroes find themselves stranded in the middle of the frozen wilderness. They seek refuge at a secluded truck stop where they make a final stand against the prehistoric beast... just so long the ice beneath them doesn't melt first.

Bought this as Christmas present for my "Trucker Guy" great-nephew who loves trucks!
And my "Trucker Guy" loves it. You have 2 good friends ice truckers who are vying to be the top ice road truckers for the season. They take "one more delivery" and end up encountering a gigantic lizard-like monster who hybernates inside the ice at the delivery site. The usual mayhem ensues, with some gory parts so keep that in mind if you show it to little children; who are pretty hardy now because of the constant barrage of violence they see on TV. Unlike me, who had nightmares because Lassie got caught in a forest fire! Any way Monster Lizard pursues the truckers who try every thing they can think of to get rid of or kill Monster lizard. I'm still amazed by what you can do with trucks on ice! Had a hard time finding this movie for my 14 y/o Trucker Guy because every ice road trucker in existence must have bought it. But it's still available and your own "Trucker Guys" will enjoy it. And so did I! There's a love interest for us adults and as a bonus "Saul T" from Battlestar Galactica is a member of the cast, which won me over immediately the 1st time I saw Ice Road Terror. Old time 1950 style SciFi with great special effects. And (drum roll) trucks sliding on ice! How can you go wrong?

Ty Olsson
I love Ty Olsson and dinosaurs. It was a win, win for me. Sci-Fi is my genre and this fits the bill. If you like ice road truckers, its here too. I really enjoyed the movie.

This is a awesome movie! Me and my Mom really enjoyed it ...
This is a awesome movie! Me and my Mom really enjoyed it from began to end. This movie is about construction workers working and they woke up something underground. A prehistoric monster attack them. The actors were excellent. Dylan Neal was my favorite. He's so sexy and good looking. I wished he never got killed by the monster. He should of ran up the stairs when his friend told him to and stop trying to play hero. This movie is worth every penny. Buy your copy now. I guarantee you will be hooked from beginning to the end.

“I don’t wanna die” “You’re already dead”
If there is one thing I’ve learned watching monster movies for years it’s that the monster on the cover art for the movie never ever looks like the monster in the actual movie. Here is no exception. (And the monster on the back is not the same one as the monster on the front) Although it appears that the “Terror” is a T-Rex it is actually more like a giant lizard with big teeth. I don’t care. It’s a giant monster. If you’ve ever seen “It came from Outer Space” the monster there was a just a giant eye with cotton batting and shredded garbage bags hanging from it. At least this monster has teeth. Granted the CGI is not top notch, but we are not watching the latest box office hit. This is “B” movie SYFY channel fodder at its best, or worst whatever you prefer. I love it either way. When I watch a “B” horror or science fiction movie I expect to see any combination of bad acting, underdeveloped characters, lame dialogue, ineffective plots or cheezy special effects. This movie did not disappoint. I got some of that and I got a giant prehistoric style monster with lots of teeth. Points for the teeth. It may not be a T-Rex but it does have attitude. Considering they are in a remote area of Alaska where there are fewer people, there is also a reasonable body count. There’s lots of blood and gore. There is no skimping on that. I won’t explain the plot to you. There isn’t any. Just your average monster waking from a prehistoric sleep to wreak mayhem on the world. Yes, it’s not Harryhausen. There’s only one of him.

As Immortan Joe Would Say, "Mediocre."
For a low-budget B-movie, this actually wasn't that bad. It's got the cheap CGI you'd expect, and the characters and story are total cliche, but where many such films often leave me groaning at how stupid they are, this was honestly okay. Not good, not awful . . . just okay. I wouldn't have minded a little more "ice road" than I got, and the monster's defeat seemed a bit underwhelming (even by B-movie standards), but it's paced and shot a bit more competently than some of the other B flicks I've seen, and hell, even the acting isn't half-baked. They won't win any Oscars, but it's leagues better than what you often get from these movies. Overall, if you're a bad movie fan, you'll probably have a little fun with this one.

A Beast to take home
I was very pleased with the storyline and the graphics in this movie. The action of humans to the prehistoric beast was logical and didn't appear as robotic. I have heard of predator creatures in the wild laying and waiting for their prey to reappear from the cover of a brush or the concealment of a hole only to attack when they appear. Big cats do this, Alligators do this along with several other species of predator as part of their hunting style so I wasn't surprise to see it in this movie. If you are a beastie movie fan like I am then you will enjoy this movie.

This one wont leave you feeling cold! (.....sorry about that)
A Giant ancient LIZARD is unearthed during a mining expedition....in the frozen tundra off the Ice Roads. The monster tears through the people at the mining camp and follows the main characters down the ice road erupting from underneath like a seal from the ice. The acting is pretty good I have to say but the animation isn't so great. The graphics are good enough to keep you interested but not the best in the world.9.5/10
