Highly recommended
I have tried about half a dozen bread knives but this one is by far the best. Holds nicely in the hand and easy to control, cuts through sourdough bread perfectly. Donโt waste money on others, just buy this one.

Sharp like a serrated samurai sword
I bought one of these Bread knives for work. After I used it (mostly slicing acidic fruits), I had to buy another one for my home. It is very sharp, it is beautiful to work with. Not only for bread, but for everything, which you like to slice. From roast, to vegetables. Not a chefs knife, but definitely one of the most versatile knives around.

Very sharp and great quality knife. Love the grip on the handle and the high carbon blade is very easy to sharpen. Bought as a gift for my partner and he loved it. Would highly recommend.

Sharp and simple, with an easy to grip handle. This is obviously not a fancy expensive knife, but compared with most supermarket knives it cuts better, is lighter weight, and easier to hold. It has no bolster (no bar of thicker steel near the handle); this makes the knife easier to sharpen, and in my opinion easier to use too, but if you like to have a bolster then this might not be your knife. The blade is thick enough for good strength, but not so thick that it gets in the way. (Many of the supermarket knives are so thick and heavy that slicing a carrot is like splitting wood!) If you are a specialized highly-skilled cook, you'll probably want three or four different knives that are all better than this one. But if you belong to the other 95% of people, like I do, then this knife does the job right for not too much money.

Update May 27, 2020 So I order this for the price point and reading the good reviews. Every year I get a new fillet knife. Becuase the ones I have been buying are all p.o.s. So I figure I got nothing to loose for this price, $20. I fish alot and I'm always fillet 5 to 40 fish. A each time I go fishing which is 3 to 5 times a week. Well this knife is amazing and does a great job. Better then what I could expect for the price. It's worth the buy. Pros Super sharp out of the box Doesnt rust like cheap knives Has a sturdy blade Is cheap for the quality Cons Doesnt come with a sheath (I know it's a kitchen knife. But I do a lot of catch and cooks. So it would be awesome to get a sheath or have a option to buy one. It does get dull fast, so make sure you get a good knife sharpener. Other that it's amazing and worth the money. If this review helped you, please let me know by hitting the helpful button. Thank you.

Very good serrated knife. If the price differential between the 8 inch & 9 inch is not much (the 9 inch was double the price of the 8 inch when I purchased mine) then the 9 inch I think would be a better buy as it appears to offer more clearance when cutting.

I've been a home cook for more than 30 years. I've got a few dozen kitchen knives of all sizes, profiles, and makes. (Wusthof, MAC, Global, Miyabi, Shun, etc......) I received this Mercer Culinary kitchen knife as a gift about a year ago, and for just about every cutting, chopping, slicing task on a cutting board, this is the knife I most often grab. Comfortable grip, easy to use, very easy to keep a razor sharp edge, and if it gets damaged in any way, very inexpensive to replace. Excellent line of knives at the right price !!
