best mouse I've used in a while
Owned it for almost a month and I'm still configuring it to how I play. Noticed a massive difference between using this and a lower tier gaming mouse worth the investment if you're going to be putting the hours in with it. Would be overkill for just desktop usage.

Mouse is not defective!
Item shipped fast and been using this mouse for four days now, while i like how precise it is and the overall design and feel of it , i am having quite a negative experience with it, it could be perhaps that i have defective mouse? For some reason when i am playing Fornite every other match or so the right mouse button will seem to get stuck and act as if it is being pressed down, so whatever weapon i have equipped will automatically be zoomed in even though i am not pressing any button. (The right mouse button is not actually stuck, it is still very responsive, just seems to act as if it is held down) I notice it seems to do this randomly during intense moments of the game, so i am not sure if it is a certain button combination that i am pressing that is causing the right mouse button to act as if it is pressed down, but it is annoying and can lead a trip back to the lobby. Pressing another button does seem to break it out of it's lock. Some of the things i have already tried to do to solve the issue.Uninstalled previous drivers from other mouse.Reinstalled the latest logitch mouse drivers for g502, went back to default state. Disabled the copy/paste/G-Shift buttons and i still notice this issue occuringI will test it for a few more days to try and figure out what is causing it, otherwise i will have to do another return and it isn't like this with all g502 units.PRO's- very accurate, i like the addition of the optional extra weights.- good feel and design- rgb- long braided wiring- all the programmable buttonsCON's- the middle wheel button is not made out of rubber, so it feels more slippery when quickly scrolling through weapons/itemsUpdate:The mouse is not defective, i ended up borrowing my nephews g502 and he used mines and i still ended up getting the issue as well, however he didn't get any issues on his system, so i believe it has something to do with software causing the issue and not the actual device, so i changed it from 3 stars to 5 stars!

A solid hi-performance mouse so far
First of all, I’m not a gamer, so this review may not be as useful for the Proteus’ intended market. I got the Proteus because my Gigabyte M6900 crapped out after a year-and-a-half, which I got because my Logitech G400 crapped out after 2+ years, which I got because my beloved Logitech M518 eventually died after more than 6 years of dedicated service. It’s been problematic finding a replacement for the M518 because mice aren’t built to the same standards anymore. I’m hoping the Proteus is it, because I need a high-end mouse for detailed work in art packages and 3D modeling. This mouse is fairly large but sleek, with definite ergonomics. I use a palm grip with stubby fingers and it still fits me well (I’m right-handed). The ability to change the color of the light is irrelevant to me, but a nice touch. The metal scroll wheel gets a lot of flak from other reviewers, and while I don’t share their opinions, I understand why. I’d prefer a silicon sheath around it, but I don’t have any problems with the metal at all. It scrolls just fine, though it is a touch noisy when I speed-scroll on the click setting. As for the left- and right-click buttons, they have a standard clicking action and I don’t notice them much, but I can tell my fingers would work a little less if they reached farther forward. The click is a slight bit louder (crisper) than the others I’m used to, but not so much that I actually care, and that’s from someone who’s overly sensitive to noises in general.I disabled all the thumb-able buttons when I first got it, but it turns out I didn’t need to. I don’t find myself accidentally hitting any of them at all, so I consider them well-placed. I do appreciate the ledge for the thumb to rest on. It feels extremely natural. I don’t consciously notice the pinkie placement, but it would be nice to have a more indented spot for it to rest on, just because I’m used to that from the Gigabyte. Both thumb and pinkie grips are rubberized, which I like. The other finger placements are ‘satin’ plastic, which is also perfectly fine. The mouse comes with optional weights, but I like the feel of the unweighted mouse, so I can’t speak to this feature. The skids are bonded plastic instead of tape, and I expect them to last the life of the mouse. I’ve read reviews of people having problems with the sheathed cord, but I haven’t experienced any of that. Mine is unkinked and fine.I’ve had this mouse now for about a month as of Feb 2018 and it’s doing well. The one thing I’ve noticed system-wise is that now my computer warns about a program running in the background when I shut down. This is presumably the Proteus software and it takes care of itself without my intervention, but the fact that it’s doing it at all strikes me as odd. I never had this with Logitech or Gigabyte, but it also doesn’t bug me enough to bother with it. Here’s hoping my new mouse lasts longer than the brief lifespan of the Gigabyte. So far, I would recommend the Proteus to anyone looking to replace an upscale mouse that hasn’t stood the test of time. It’s a shame nothing these days equals the 6+ years of my M518. That was a golden age.Update: This is a follow-up to my initial review. I’ve been using the Proteus daily for 6 months now and it’s going strong. The scroll wheel has no issues and there’s no extra clicks from the left or right mouse buttons. No components have given me any trouble and I haven’t noticed any drop-off in performance. I can recommend this mouse.

Excelente producto
