I ordered 36 of these to replace a number of existing can lights in my ceiling. Every one of the lights worked out of the box. I do have one caution for those of you looking at these as replacements for existing cans (i.e. screw in bulbs to the ceiling). You could install these over the round opening from the can. But then, you end up with a gap and not end up with a flush mount. You really need to remove the can and cut the round hole into a square one. Then, these lights mount flush. I hired a guy to do that and for 36 lights that was about 14 hours of labor. However, that investment is well worth it. The look is so sleek and modern that it changes the way the room looks.

I've installed 6 of 6" and 4 of 12" in my basement. This thin led works out great in my situation. I've had trouble to find dimmer switches due to lack of a neutral wire (usually white color) in switch box. I've tried several dimmer switches that are not required a neutral wire but created huge humming or buzzing sound. I finally conclude that all the recommended dimmer switches are required a neutral wire. I was able to put a wire through existing conduit, and installed Luton 'dvelv-300p' dimmer switch. All the noise is gone and dimming perfectly. If you want to use the recommended dimmer switches, make sure you have a neutral wire exist in you electric system.

Overall I like these lights but they come with a J box to connect your wires in and it’s too small and too flimsy to daisy chain two 12 gauge Romex wires into. The J Box constantly pops open when you try to put two 12 gauge wires in them. Also, they do not give you any strain relief grommets to protect the wire from the sharp edges of the thin sheet metal J box. If the included J box doesn’t make for an easy installation then it really defeats the purpose. Also had several DOA fixtures out of 24 and since you buy them in bulk you can’t return them without all twelve , which, by the time you find the DOA, are probably already in the ceiling.

These lights are a little different because they are square instead of the typical round shape. they are practically flush with the ceiling yet they give bright light that is changeable from bright white, natural and soft warm light options.

Have had them installed for three weeks now no problems. Installed nice and easy adjuatable color on side of box easy to set up and for witing purposes they have a great and easy to use box with connectors in it. Do need to use pass through not provided as you would any metal box but simple and easy to link all together as quick connector has 2 ports for expandability.

I installed 18 in a large room that is both the kitchen and the family room. Over the family room, I set the color temperature to 2700k, firelight, and over the kitchen 5000k, sunlight. Frames are a very dark bronze, and tend to look black. I have them on dimmers with no problems. We installed a new ceiling on 2x4 furring strips. The electrical box for each light and the light itself are less than the thickness of a 2x4 (about 1.5 inches) and fits in the narrow space between the old and new ceilings. The lights have even illumination through the lens, with no bright spots.

I had three that were bad out of the box! The others worked great… for now

They are as described. The springs are strong. I will update my review with pictures once I have them all installed.
