Breakout board for the imp002 module, which allows users to have direct access to all the pins on the imp002 for ease of development. While the imp002 is no longer in production it continues to receive impOS updates and new application firmware can be deployed to the device. The board, which exposes the imp's GPIO, standard bus, and power pins, requires 3.3V which can be supplied by the onboard regulator from the mini-USB connector or via the Voltage input pins. The Breakout board also includes the phototransistor circuit and status LED for BlinkUp.

Electric Imp makes quality products
Electric Imp makes quality products with a very useful software-cloud infrastructure. I have several Electric Imps, deployed at home, providing sensor readings of temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, light levels and sound levels which are accessible through the web. The Electric Imp 002 provides additional pins for input (or output) as compared to the Electric Imp 001 (April Board). I purchased this Electric Imp 002 to replace an existing Imp 001 (which is still working well) after I decided to add additional sensors. I have used the Imp boards to maintain a web interface for projects based on Arduino boards (be careful about voltage differences between the 5v Arduino and 3.3v Electric Imp) and both the Electric Imp and Arduino boards work well together.
