Update 2024:Almost a year later and 4,000 miles on helmet I have to give it 5 stars. Helmet is holding up very well to my daily use. I really enjoy wearing this comfortable helmet. It is easy to get on and off. The sun visor, dual air vents and modular release are easy to operate. I did remove the big HJC sticker on front of helmet with a heat gun, looks a lot cleaner now. Have now added some pictures. Again I highly recommend.2023:Just bought this great helmet with a great price. Fit is perfect and has air inlets and outlets. Not too heavy. The drop down sun visor works great for sunny rides. Most importantly, I am enjoying the modular function on this helmet as I don't have to take my helmet off to do simple tasks while not riding. I highly recommend this helmet. Hope this review helps you.

Nice helmet, sizes run small. Had to size up.

A 2X of twenty years ago is now a 4X maybe. The opening is just too small to be sure it will fit based on size experience of other models, brands, or even past HJC.

Great helmet as always from HJC. This is my 1st modular helmet in the last 56 years of riding. I should have purchased one a long while back. Best of both worlds so far. The fit and finish are great and the helmet just plain looks good. I’m really liking the built in sun visor and will be adding the Bluetooth system shortly. It is taking a bit longer than normal to break in the cheek pads, but it just keeps getting more and more comfortable with each wearing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this helmet for your day to day wear.

I have a huge head, let's just start there. This is the third helmet in successive sizes that I've ordered and I finally hit the jackpot. The modular design makes it easier to don the helmet, glasses and all and then close the front latch. making it a much more enjoyable experience than the full face helmets I've worn before. The padding is excellent and I'm loving the clear front visor with drop-down internal smoked lens. I did end up adding an aftermarket quick release chin strap buckle, because who actually likes d-rings?! Overall, I'm loving the feel and design of this helmet!

After reading reviews, I seen alot of comments saying they run small for their size. That is correct! I have an older HJC SY-MAX 2 Medium helmet that fits perfect. I still took the advice from others and ordered a Large. I’m so glad I did. It fits perfectly. So avoid a return like I did and order one size up.

I ordered one to true size, I even contacted the seller to make sure I ordered the correct size. I really needed a new helmet, and was excited to get this one. It's so small, I can't get it on my head! My older hjc helmet is a xl and fits perfect. Amazon couldn't exchange it for a different size, I have to return it then reorder a different size. What an inconvenience! Others have said to order the next size up, and they are correct. What a huge inconvenience

HJC makes helmets that are good value for the money. I have used them for years finding them very satisfactory and am sorry to find that this helmet and my head are not a good fit. It seems to be well built and the lever for the sunshade works easily while the visor has definite stops that allow keeping it just open even at speed. However, after only half an hour’s riding the helmet causes pain to my forehead. I had hoped the wearing would allow it to break in but no luck. This experience has brought me to conclude that I should shop for helmets where I can try them on for fit. As can be seen by other reviews, this helmet fits many riders very satisfactorily. I am sorry I am not one of them.
