Amazing image quality. OMG
This is one of two lenses I dreamed of owning. The image compression is amazing which lens to a great bokeh effect that is unmatched. There are Three downsides of course. #1. This monster is heavy, but, that's okay for me because it allows me to be more steady when taking the shot, #2. I do have to be back quite a distance when shooting so it's not ideal for a full photoshoot but is perfect when you really wanna get a bokeh-licious shot and #3. there is a noticeable vignette around the subject, which can be fixed in lightroom if you'd like. But, I tend to prefer a slight vignette. A 105mm would have been better. But, the image quality even wide open at 1.8 is just amazing. I love it better than my Samyang 85mm 1.4!

Tracks focus in continuous & burst shooting nearly as well as native
I have been trying the GM and the Canon version of this lens using the MC-11 adapter on my A7III and a6500 since last year. I found the Canon version on the adapter to transmit the torque of focusing into my hands, but it worked accurately enough for my event photography business. After using it at a three day event in February 2020 I decided to order the lens as I just cannot justify the cost of the GM.Turns out the E mount version does not transmit the torque of focusing into my hands (I cannot feel it start and finish focusing) and it is quiet and accurate.The images above are my day one tests of this lens from my front steps. I was tracking vehicles as they drove by in burst shooting. At one point a flock of birds flew over. The image above is mid burst using the a6500 in continuous focus and using the zone focusing mode.The downside of the lens is it is much more heavy than than the GM. However, it feels less heavy than the 70-200 GM.I'm enjoying the lens and it is going to generate a profit for my business.

Gerechtfertigter Hype
Ich habe mir das Objektiv für meine Sony A7iii gekauft und bin mehr als zufrieden mit dem Objektiv und es ist wie meinen Erwartungen zufolge echt genial.Das Bokeh ist der Hammer und auch der Autofokus ist fantastisch.Hauptsächlich nutze ich es, wie man sieht in der Tierfotografie und kann nichts schlechtes über das Objektiv verlieren.Ist jeden Cent wert. 👍
